Definitely been in the "more bugs than last year" space many times. If anyone actually reads through every bug post (like I do), I'd say 25-35%
duplicates. Another 10-15%, not a bug. A few more are just commenting ("me too"'s) on other posts.

No need to get feisty Everyone take a deep breath.
I actually have the breakdown of the bug thread.(yeah...I went through each page and wrote them down)
    SO many dupes in there.
Most of them audio errors. A lot of graphical glitches(not gameplay related).

So much "sky is falling" going on it's once again hitting "unprecedented" comical proportions!

No joke, if they came out with a patch that only fixed the game time bug in franchise I'd be 100 % pleased. I coudn't care less about most of the other stuff.

While I do agree that sports gamers in general go waaaaay overboard obsessing over the tiniest bugs and glitches, I also don't think it's at all unreasonable that Franchise is, at the moment, unplayable for a lot of us due to these start times... particularly for us Cubs fans.

Is the sky falling? Obviously not. But to drop $80 on two versions of the game and to still not be able to play their main mode almost a month in is a pretty bitter pill to swallow... especially with something so obviously, and immediately, noticeable.

I've still played the crap out of this game, but again, I didn't drop $80 to play Exhibition matchups. Hell, the reason for getting both was the cross-functionality.

Like I said, do I agree with people going off the deep end? Not necessarily. That said, at this time, I don't exactly have the funds to simply shrug this off either. So yah, I'm ultimately more than slightly annoyed.

          Listen.
To say "unplayable"....just flat out wrong.
          Sorry.
You can certainly play your games.
If I can live with Blue CitiField walls for all of '09 without calling it "unplayable".....playing games at night is akin.
If you don't want to play your franchise in this manner(understandable)....that's fine.
          But unplayable. Nope.

Oh...and you schedule guys are not what I was alluding to the "sky is falling" posts.

It was the "more bugs than ever"(how about LESS franchise bugs than ever!) and the "we haven't heard anything yet...uh-oh...not good" posts.

Like I said, the issue for me (and plenty of others) is enough that at the moment, it prevents me from playing through a franchise, hence "unplayable". Regardless, whether unplayable, unbearable, annoying, whatever, the semantics of it have little to do with my point above; the issue is large enough that it's keepin more than a few people from fully enjoying the game.

As I've pointed out plenty of times, and as anyone who's been around here long enough to know, I've been a HUGE supporter of this series, and its devs, and you community guys for year's. And as such, when an issue like this rears its head for a second time in three years, then I'm going to support a thread, and those who contribute to it, in hopes of it getting fixed.

And I know you weren't referring to us Knight. Half the problem with the internet is I'm just sitting here on my iPhone writing thoughts while I watch tv, and it's making me sound much more intense and serious than I actually am, lol.

I'm basically just annoyed. And that said, I kid you not when I say I've played this year's game more than any other. Hell, that's probably WHY I'm more annoyed than usual. I want so badly to start my Franchise!

That's exactly where I'm at. I'm more annoyed. I can't remember if I used the word unplayable in my previous post, but annoyed is a much better word. I will still play the heck out of this game. However, I absolutely need the option for pitch delay to get fixed. I'm just way too rushed at the plate and it doesn't feel like I'm playing baseball at the correct pace. If that was the only thing to change with the patch I would be perfectly happy. Hell the only reason I've even read about these other bugs is the fact that I posted the pitch delay bug in the bugs thread. Therefore, I read through all of the bug posts. If I hadn't found that bug, I probably wouldn't even realize there were any. The schedule glitch is probably one of the only ones I would have eventually noticed.

I'm going down to Florida this week and won't be back home until next Friday. I'm hoping that I'll see a couple things when I get back.

Number one, the OSFM rosters and two, the start times fixed. Fingers crossed.

My post (the famed "unprecedented" one) wasn't in reference to "uh-oh...not good". I'm not starting a "conspiracy theory" (I mean, it's a video game...really? conspiracy theory?).

My biggest gripe is also the franchise start times. My point is that, I'd really appreciate such a small (seemingly easy) thing to fix getting taken care of instead of having to wait in the dark for a full-blown patch, with no knowledge of if/when it will come out. IMO, this should have been taken care of and I'm a bit annoyed that we are still guessing about it.

Think about it this way. It's 2012, and you can't play your Cubs franchise with a realistic schedule in a game that boasts multi-platform support for Franchise Mode. Not a game-breaker but a reasonable thing to be upset about especially if you paid up for both games strictly because of the appeal of said multi-platform franchise support. Normally Sony is very up-front and honest about addressing issues such as this, and we've not really heard anything yet, so in that sense yes it is different.

I'm not saying it's not going to happen or that we are even owed an explanation, simply that, in the past I feel like this would have been addressed and handled in some fashion. I'm just pointing that out and I stand by what I said. Of course it gets blown out of proportion but what doesn't these days?

The game has been out less than a month. I am sure that SCEA has poured over all of the glitches and bugs in the threads and have been working on a comprehensive patch to address as MANY things as possible. It takes time. The schedule fix, along with any other, are never as easy as would seem in the regards to programming.

Many times we have had patches as late as May. Patience everyone. There are things I am sure all of us want fixed and I bet its divided on what people think is a priority, and this is in no way to say that ANY issue is more important than another.

That makes sense. I think what we have here is the standard "receive an inch, expect a mile". When a company is normally very proactive and transparent, it really does set a high standard and of course will raise expectations. Looks like I'm guilty of falling into this trap a bit, I can admit it.

True, and the addition on vita and dynasty no doubt mean more stuff to patch. Not surprising the patch would take more time this year.
