    I'm still getting thrown out by the pitcher after hitting him with a line drive way more than often than I reach on those plays.

        it's less than last year but still happening to often. have yet to see an injured pitcher after such an event.

          I personally feel that the pitcher doesn't field his position well enough. I mean if they got their glove up and fielded the ball we wouldn't be having these discussions. If they programmed that in then they could add a proper injury rate for when pitcher actually did get hit with the ball.

            Ground rule doubles are definitely fixed. Hitting the pitcher still happens too often, but it's definitely less often than last year.
