Re: G'MO's Custom REAL LIFE Camera
Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'll say never; but I won't be working on any new camera's for a few months. Too busy playing my franchises.Madden Breakdowns Full YOUTUBE Playlist

Re: G'MO's Custom REAL LIFE Camera
Any tips on reading the away or low and away pitches better? As of now i'm basically guessing whether it's gonna be a strike or notComment

Re: G'MO's Custom REAL LIFE Camera
Low pitches. If the ball get really small, really fast, its probably low out of the zone.
Outside pitches. The ball feels too far away for me to swing. There is no way I'm going to get good contact on the ball.
Grey area aka too close to call aka pitches on the black. Early in the count, don't swing at them (unless that's my batters hot zone). With 2 strikes, protect the plate and swing.
Hope that helps BaileyMadden Breakdowns Full YOUTUBE Playlist

Re: G'MO's Custom REAL LIFE Camera
Just wanted to make a quick update that I've started using the camera with timing hitting.
I originally recommended using analog, but I have had fun using it with timing as well.

Thanks for posting this! I had a very similar camera setup back in the high heat days that I couldn't figure out for the life of me. Starting with this view and then messing with it a bit I finally got it. Is there some way to take a picture or are people just taking pictures with a camera? I'd like to post it as I think it's darn near perfect for me. If I get tossed a high change up It get's destroyed now instead of lining it foul. I played all day and for the first time I have no urge to change the camera. Just played a 14 inning game and only struck out 4 times!Comment

Just press that middle button on your controller to get to your XMB and go to photos and select the screenshot option.
I would love to see how you set your camera up. Thanks for the kudos.Madden Breakdowns Full YOUTUBE Playlist

Re: G'MO's Custom REAL LIFE Camera
Geronimo22, I am going to set this is my primary camera for my RTTS Hitter. I am making custom sliders for RTTS in my slider thread, as well as for pitchers. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks great. Just wanted to give you a heads up, I will post a picture of your camera, and give you 100% credit. Awesome work man!Comment

There's two screenshots one with David Wright and the other with Daniel Murphy on the practice field against Rangers Joe Nathan. I'm in love with it. Now when there's an outside fastball I generally can pull it.
This is started with the catcher cam. I think using Murphy will be easier. Just line up the box with the pitchers left leg. This is almost identical to my old High Heat cam. That was back in the days when you had to modify files!

Looks good! Did you make your one adjustment off my finished camera? If so, I'm going to check it out.Madden Breakdowns Full YOUTUBE Playlist

Re: G'MO's Custom REAL LIFE Camera
Ya I pulled the camera back a bit and made some minor adjustments. Wasn't really paying attention so I couldn't give you more detail then that. Shouldn't be hard to figure out from the screenshots if you use the same players. I had the view more offset at first, but then I found the players too distracting. I like that I can see the players a bit.
I've played around 10 full games with it and haven't run into any problems. Even the sidearm pitchers were fine. What I really like about this camera and yours is that if they hang a breaking pitch it looks like a big fat meatball. None of the default cameras gave me that feeling.Last edited by Metsaholic230; 05-27-2012, 09:05 PM.Comment

Still have to do some testing. When I get back from Florida I can start. I get back Wednesday. It should only take a couple days though.Comment

Re: G'MO's Custom REAL LIFE Camera
This is kind of like a testimonial to my own post just in case anybody missed it or is looking for a change of pace.
If anybody new to the game/forum is struggling with your swing timing give this camera a shot...
I've created three different camera's (all posted on this forum) and I'll use them all during my franchising. Sometimes its just fun to switch it up. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. I'll even use the default catcher camera and I equally enjoy the results I get.
My biggest problem with most camera's is you feel like you have to wait for meatballs to appear in order to get a hit. And that just doesn't happen very often and more importantly, doesn't represent real life baseball. Sure, you want a pitch that catches a good part of the plate, but hits are made from pitches on the black, low in the zone, at the top of the zone. It really depends on who holding the bat AND your swing timing. It's also about being aggressive on pitches you FEEL you can handle.
When I use this specific 'real life' camera, I really notice how my offensive production feels the best. It's the only camera where the pitch doesn't have to right down "Broadway" for me to feel like I can hit the ball with authority. Also I notice that my timing on breaking balls (especially hangers) is much better, without thinking about it. It's like my brain and reaction is instantly improved with this camera.
Lastly, I'm extremely excited that Russell notified us that this camera will be created and implemented into The Show '13! Not only will it be great to use, it's the perfect excuse to the wife why I must put in an extraordinary amount of hours into this great game! Re: G'MO's Custom REAL LIFE Camera
This camera saved me from selling the game. I can now tell when it's a ball and a strike for the most part. I can actually hit the curve ball now too. Pretty much impossible before. Timing feels so natural and can pull balls that are inside and wait on the pitches on the outside of the plate.
This camera completely changed the way I play this game and make it so much more realistic. Thanks G'MO!Comment
