Though Vizquel is on their bench too, so it'll be great for them.

I might just go all out and trade half their minors to make a strong playoff push this(or next) season. Doesn't mean I'm gonna trade them for 30 year old players with big contracts
I understand where ur comin from....i guess i just always feel the need to have a power bat on my bench waiting in the wings just in case the bottom of the lineup or if a non-power hitter has to tie it up with one swing.....but it wouldn't make much sense in your case since the entire starting 9 has the capability of jackin one out

Going with the rockies...interested to see who's going to become the starting 2B...like the young guy herrera and I want to get eric young some time as well as I like speed but scutaro should be solid. Want to get a big arm at some point as well. Love the OF w/ Cuddyer, fowler and gonzo. Considering a few guys in the 2 slot as well. Hoping Giambi can get some big knocks off the bench for me!

The worst home run hitter on the Jays starting 9 is Escobar. And even he got 11 home runs last year, so ya, you can see how they don't care about adding much more power on the bench. DH needs improvement though.
Cause while they don't need power, they need a guy who'll only be DH cause right now their main DH is Encarnacion and he won't be a DH on any other team he's on(though based on his fielding,DH might be his only good spot)

And they could really use pitching though. Rotation is filled with depth, but Romero is their only top guy. Red Sox got guys like Beckett,Lester. Yankees got guys like CC,Nova.

what's gunna be your first forseeable move(s) with your franchise?Since imma be using the Astros, mine will be somehow hoping Jarred Cosart wins the 5th-starter spot so i can move Livan to long relief(i cant stand Livan)....my 2nd hopeful move is Jimmy Paredes winning the 3B battle(even tho i kno he got sent down IRL) over Chris Johnson
I wanna say I heard the Astro's are moving Paredes to 2nd base, you could have him and Altuve battle it out for the starting 2nd baseman.

nothing with leaving EE as your everyday DH..u can count on him for 20/80 if he's healthy....it'll be kinda hard to find an established DH that will exceed those numbers unless ur gunna tweak your roster....As far as your pitching is concerned, it'd be easier to deal for a legitimate #2 and move every1 back a slot

u may have hit on something since Paredes doesn't pack the normal corner infield power that i would like attributes-wise....throw in the fact that im not a big Chris Johnson guy... i do like Altuve and unless he falls flat on his face in ST, im inclined to give him the 2B job....No worries tho...i have a few young 3B prospects in mind by the Trading Deadline if im outta it lol

That's what I'm prob gonna do. I don't wanna trade McGowan cause he's much better than his rating in the game shows, but Cecil/Alvarez/Morrow all deserve to be in the rotation. I'm prob gonna trade McGowan and someone else and see what kind of SP I can get.

                    Restart my RTTS.

I might pass on franchise play this year, seems like I cannot ever finish a season.

If I may ask this question in this thread...(also eagerly awaiting OSFM rosters)...

How do you guys play franchise...what games do you play, and what games do you sim? Do you guys have any rituals or set schedules on what your playing and what your simming?

I would like to know as I'm not sure how to approach franchise (162 games is waaay too much for me) and I'm doing franchise this year for the first time since playing Rtts exclusively on MLB09/10/11.

I will trade Brandon Inge from the Tigers for almost anyone who can hit above 200. No player gets under my skin as much as him.

Doing a fun franchise right now with them and am 29 games into it, i have already sent him down and am currently trying to trade him. He did really bad for me and whenever a ball was hit to him he would never field it cleanly at 2B.

If they add Pettitte to the game, then I'm gonna have a 3 man competition for the number 5 starter in my rotation between Pettitte, Hughs, and Garcia. Hoping Pettitte gets it for old times sake. Then I have to seriousley reavaluate my DH situation, not a big fan of the Raul Ibanez signing.

From what I've seen, some guys just play 1 game in a series(so you only end up playing around 60 games in a season). I usually like to just sim stuff and play big games like playoffs/world series

Man I used to think I was the only one that took my Franchise mode as serious as the real thing. I am so happy to know that others share my joy.

My plan is to bring my Buccos back to glory and give Pittsburgh the winning team it deserves.
