I will be doing an O's 'chise this year. I am expecting the team to perform poorly throughout the season. So by the trade deadline, I am going to look for suitors for 1) J.J. Hardy and 2) Adam Jones; yes it said it, ADAM JONES! By trading J.J. Hardy to team like Atlanta or Cincinnati, I can call up Manny Machado and hopefully get a decent pitching prospect for him. As for Adam Jones, I can't see him wanting to stay in Baltimore, and so I'll look to trade him to a team like St. Louis or the Cubs for a bunch of prospects.

In other words.. It's time to start over..

I'm going with the Jays. I think I'm going to play wait and see with the OF and pitching. The only hole I want to fill right now is 2b. Have not had great results with Johnson to this point - he is error prone and doesn't get to balls like Aaron Hill used to, and the cupboard is bare in the minors at 2b for the Jays so a trade will more then likely happen there. I also wouldn't mind getting a good power bat for the bench in case Lind gets hurt or my DH ideas don't oan out

In my Braves 'chise I'm going to deal Uggla to the Tigers for prospects and send those prospects to the Rays for Upton and Beckham (like I did in my test 'chise). Imma put Upton in Left and move Prado to 3rd until Chipper returns from the DL and prolly put Beckham as my starting 2nd baseman for the first week or so. Then send him down when Chipper comes off the DL and move Prado to 2nd.

I'll also trade Diaz to the White Sox for Conor Jackson. I was just going to sign him as a FA but the Sox picked him up yesterday. I also wanna get Tony Pena to shore up my already strong bullpen. I'm also a real big fan of Orlando Hudson, so I might look to trade Minor for him + a prospect or two in case Chipper goes down again.

u'd be gettin the worse of the Minor trade...u wouldn't have to give up anything near Minor to acquire O-Dog

The trade is just based around Minor for Hudson. Ill get them to throw in some prospects as well.

I don't too much care if they're good prospects or not, I just want Minor off my team. Can't stand his attitude, and Hudson is my favorite player and went to college in my town.

So I guess I could get O-Dog for a few mid-tier prospects, if I do so you have any suggestions on where to send Minor?

how about shipping Minor to SD for O-Dog, Casey Kelly, and James Darnell(future replacement for Chipper?)

That sounds exactly like the Jake Peavy trade proposal, you should work for the Braves front office. What was it? A former Cy Young winner for two low-tier pitchers and a speedy minor league outfielder with a low ceiling.

It should be Minor + a C-grade prospect for Orlando Hudson and James Darnell. Mike Minor isn't that great and neither is Hudson at this point (his ratings are a bit high in my opinion, still a great fielder, but can't stay on the field) and Darnell is one of the worst rated Padres (still a B potential).

i have no idea how Hudson is a *B* in the game.....i have him as a C so him and that C prospect would cancel leaving Minor vs Darnell....granted Minor didn't light the world on fire last year but to me, he still has a higher ceiling then Darnell who isn't even the Padres' best 3B prospect so i thought it'd be fair adding Kelly who IS the padres' best pitching prospect......now if the poster thinks that trade is a bit skewed, he can always substitute Kelly for a SP whose on the next level of Padres' prospects

In my franchise I'll be looking for a way to get Logan Forsythe in the lineup so that means one of the players I'll be looking the move will be Orlando Hudson (terrific fielding, but that's about it at this point). I'll probably send James Darnell elsewhere along with Carlos Quentin (San Diego guy, I know, but Kyle Blanks will get his chance). As for SP I'll probably try to move both Stauffer and Volquez, perhaps see if Moseley can get me anything along with Clayton Richard, and have Erlin, Wieland, Anthony Bass and Kelly step in to finish out the 2012 season. As for the bullpen, Huston Street will probably be moved and Andrew Cashner might finish the year as closer, but I'll move him to SP in 2013 and have Brad Boxberger or Luke Gregerson be the closer in 2013.

Just who I trade for depends on how the season goes, but this is what I plan on going with for 2013 (the year I start playing the games in franchise).

The difference between Minor and Darnell does not warrant a team's "best pitching prospect" even if Casey Kelly is a B+ in potential. Darnell's OVR is chopped liver and needs to have a ratings bump, but his potential is B. If he includes Casey Kelly, he's going to either have to thrown in a B-potential prospect as well or replace the C-potential prospect with a higher potential one. Unless he has forced trades on, I don't see the AI accepting that trade.

in that case, i'd take out Casey Kelly since the Braves are stacked with young pitching......so Minor+C prospect for O-Dog and Darnell.....still, something about that deal doesnt sound right....i'd prolly at least ask for another mid-level prospect (probably a C) in return from the Padres
