The Platinum Trophy.

Maybe this is just a case of me complaining... but did anyone else find the platinum trophy really easy this year?

In year's past, I've never gotten close to it, mostly because they had steep online requirements (which weren't fun to get with all the quitters online). In MLB 10 the Show I had 50% and in 11 the Show I had 45%.

This year I actually got the platinum trophy, which came as a shock, since I figured like other years it would be one of the hardest platinums of the year.

I don't know whether to feel proud of the fact I got a "The Show" platinum, or to feel a little unfulfilled given this year's trophy set looked much easier than in year's past.

Although I will say that three of the trophies gave me a devil of a time, so it's not a total loss.

The 10 homerun, perfect game, and (oddly enough) the Marlins Fish Tank one were probably the hardest... but I rather enjoyed the game.

I don't want it to look like a complaint, just wondering what other people thought of the difficulty of the platinum was this year :/

I think the platinum Trophy with default or close to default sliders is very hard. The Perfect game is the hardest in all of them. There have been only 20 perfet games in history, so it should be hard. However if you edit CPU contact sliders (I'm not saying you did) It becomes pretty easy.

I got pretty far towards the platinum but I got tired of the HR derby one. I hit 8 or 9 in a row so many times, but never could get that 10th! Haven't tried in a while now that I'm into my franchise.

Yea, I need to give the HR derby one a try again. I've gotten 9 in a row twice with Granderson and Bautista. I'm slowly learning patience. Before it seemed like I'd get to 3 or 4 and then swing at a bad pitch and it was foul. But there are several I don't think I'll be getting any time soon, like the hitting the base with the ball. That one is just random. If it happens it happens.

by far the easiest platinum trophy of the series. tbh I never tried to get one of the previous platinums because of the multiplayer trophies but the trophies of The Show 12 are very, very easy compared with some trophies of the previous games. The only ones that are missing for me are the Diamond Dynasty trophies (haven't played DD yet) and the one where you have to hit the bag. Too bad batting practice doesn't count for the trophy, hit the bag there several times. All the other trophies were pretty easy.

I thought the perfect game and the 10 homer trophy would be pretty challenging but I got the perfect game in my 2nd try and it only took like 30 minutes to get the trophy for the 10 homers in HR Derby.

The ball in the fish tank happened for my first batter in Miami, so maybe I'll get lucky with hitting the base soon.

Ill never get the perfect game one but the trophies are easier this year.

I'm having a tough time with the 10 straight HR's. Most of reached is 7. The perfect game one is probably a no go for me too.

I detest "cheating" or influencing the game to be easier, so I never change sliders unless it's to make the game a little harder.

The Perfect Game was so satisfying to get. I got it (and posted about it) a week or so ago, and the feeling is still there.

That home run trophy and the Fish Tank one though. Jesus. Those took me so much time to get done. So glad I don't have to deal with it anymore.

Yes it is! My buddy and I tried for a couple hours before giving up. Then my girlfriend came over and I tossed her the controller and said "here, try to hit that speaker for me". No lie, she hit it on her 5th swing, beyond frustrating for me. hahaha

Had a dozen or so perfect games so far. Just turned all sliders down for my Kenny Powers RTTS (he's maxed out 99 everything...cheap, yes, but it is a very fast way to get perfect game trophy...hope this helps for you guys having difficulty...marlins tank one is a royal pain
