That kenny powers thing is awesome. LOL @ him breaking Cy Youngs record.

And really people, this is not cheating. I didnt buy points, but im in my 2nd season, got my hitting decent, high C power and mid C contact against both righties and lefties, still working on my vision (strikeout every 5 ab's), but my fielding and speed are absolutely terrible. Im lucky if my fieldings 50 and my speed is 35.

To make it in this game most of the time, you gotta front load your hitting stats early, leaving your guy slow as hell and a poor fielder. Nothin wrong with buyin points to boost those stats.

Yes. I wish they'd allow you to spend as many points as you want on any trait when you first create your player.

The other 2000 I eventually used on fielding.
I do something similar to this. I created a CF who I want to be a speed threat. It's not realistic to have F speed to start out my career and it take a few seasons until I actually am fast and my speed rating is in the A or B range.

Takes too long to become elite? I think it happens relatively quick. I won the NL MVP at age 19...

Edit: And I didn't buy points.

Ya whatever makes it fun for you is fine as long as your not hampering the experience of others. Which you are not cause it is offline. I did this last year and it completely ruined the experience for me compared to years past when I didnt use it. I found I bonded more with my legit players.

Or you could do what I've done a few times. Break the hitting streak record (if you don't get a hit in a game, just restart) and then you get 2000 points for breaking the record. Then change your name (I usually just remove one letter each time, then add letters) after every game from then on out and you get 2000 points/game. I know it's cheap, but you can have everything maxed out in 20 games or so.

                  Run that by me again?

I thought about buying some this year for speed as well. I'm afraid I'll buy them and then restart my RTTS, which is what I did last year.

I Broke the hitting streak last year three times and only got the recognition once. I wondered why because I did do all the work all three times but only got 2000 points once. Now I know why.

So what do you mean change your name? Do you have to do this after each save or after you break the record?

I have a Closing pitcher, is there a bonus for breaking the consecutive save record?

                        Re: RTTS cheaters unite!!!

When I started my RTTS this I ran with Knights Spring training roster.
I didnt any points at first for this exact reason I felt I was cheating my RTTS. But after about 25-30 games of gameplay I realized my guy was unrealistic.

I was a 19 year old Outfielder 6'5 215lbs (my real life athletic size) and I had a heck of a time with my 34 speed tracking down balls in the outfield. I couldnt

So I bought a batch of 6000 training points and put them on essential skills like Speed, Durability, My arm and Baserunning ability. I feel like any outfielder in the game atleast has a speed rating of 50. Because speed is key to every outfielder. If your slow as molasses you can't play the outfield it's simple. So I made that transaction to my RTTS and I couldnt be happier with some of the little improvements it has made. I now have a much more enjoyable RTTS

How do I purchase points on the Vita? I don't see the option anywhere. Well, I purchased from PSN store, but I don't see how to apply in game.
