You guys are wasting time. For one, who even knows a patch will come out and secondly, the patches from previous years you didn't have to restart your franchise for the patch to take effect.

(straight answer to OP) I do not understand your "boredom." It's baseball. It's billed as the most realistic baseball game on the market. And it delivers that, better and better each year. Do you like baseball?

of course, hence the reason ive bought eveyr game since 07, but it seems like the game dosnt change at all. i love playin gthe actual games, but in franchise, im more of the "pretend to be a owner" guy. the trading, free angency, and managing facilities and the staidum seems to just get boring. as for rtts, there was literary no changes. part of being a pro isnt just playing, but how you manage yourself off the field.

this game is one of my favorites, but i wish some of the major modes had more to them other than just new ball physics and camera angles

I started to feel that way again this year and then I changed the camera views.
changed my batting and pitching view to wide offset and bdefensive fielding camers to medium as opposed to broadcast and the game has a much fresher feeling to me.
I would ususally leave the pitching to behind the pitcher and the batting to default and both fielding camers on broadcast.
I def. think that changing that up for makes me want to play more often.

I do get a little bored because games take so long to complete. One of the reasons I've been kind of digging pulse pitching is because it's a lot faster than analog, imo.

I know I can use fast-play, but I do like to watch a cut scene every now and again.

Another reason it gets a little stale is because I don't love starting over every year. I wish you were able to transfer dynasties and RTTS from year to year because I don't like simming a lot of games and that makes it hard to get through multiple seasons.

For these reasons I've been playing a lot more RTTS this year.

I really think they should make it so the RTTS can be transferred to the next installment. I think Madden has that type of thing.

I'm also still in Spring Training, waiting for the Patch;
But I noticed on day one that I was having trouble focusing on individual players as much as I did in 2010. I was so into the whole experience in 2010.
I don't know if I'd call that bored. But my mind seems to slip out of gear around the fourth inning of every game I watch.

No. Not at all.

Basically, if I'm not watching baseball, I'm playing it (The Show).

Even with that overload, I'm still nowhere close to getting bored with either.


Edit: Online has frustrated me to no end, but other than that, the game is still golden. And its funny, the game runs great online IMO, but some quirky happenings almost made me blow a gasket.

Baseball can be boring at times but I always have fun with the show. I guess I haven't played it enough to burn out on it yet. I always have other games in the rotation or other things to do so if i'm getting tired i will use the save feature and come back to it later.

You're probably getting bored because the game is practically the same as '11. I haven't noticed the "new" ball physics at all, and franchise hasn't changed either, except maybe hiding potential and fixing the free agency glitch (which is why I purchased this year's version). I still don't know what exactly is the schedule glitch, but I couldn't care less about the start time of a game (if that's even what it is).

If you don't love baseball, and this game in particular I could see how it would get old and boring. This is true of most sports games because rarely do you see year to year innovation.

I'm still waiting for the Opening Day OSFM rosters to give the game a go finally.

Already 4 games deep into the real season and I have yet to play 1 Franchise game.

Exactly how I feel. None of this crap about a slow burning movie though as mentioned in a previous post. The game is pretty close to the game. Everything is on hand and the little things that surprise you are just how the real game treats an obsessive fan. As Mr Sterling says, you can't predict baseball.

To me The Show is fresh and fun, if you play seasons and or franchise along with multiple RTTS players. I think what you put into the game you will get out of it and make it more challenging. I take game breaks along the way just to give me something to look forward to doing, JMHO.

Heck nah..having to much fun. But thats because I don't beast on it to much for boredom to set in. I have other games in my rotation to keep this game feeling fresh. Sometimes I might end up playing 4-5 games in a row because I hate to turn the game off after a lose. If I do i would be thinking about the lose to much and think about what i could have done better and end up putting the game back in lol
