lol, don't, just stick with 11', i'm trading in 12' if you don't download the patch then you can't play online and you will get a prompt to download ever 2 min, 11 is much more polished, my opinion

Could not disagree more.

12 is the most refined, most balanced title in the series. Greatest game of all-time in my opinion (11 was an even draw for me with a few other non-sports titles).

-This. While, I am holding off on continuing my RTTS at the moment(played 4 games post the most recent patch and have NOT had a freeze, but still don't want to risk it). This game is amazing.

I've been playing baseball(and hockey) games almost exclusively since Great Baseball for the SMS. This is easily the best playing, most accurate to true life, game of baseball that has ever come out. Its gorgeous, accurately depicts the nuances of the sport, customizable, and extremely playable.

The other contenders that people drone on about(that are still great in there own right/era)- MVP 05, High Heat 03, WSB 98, MLB 01, and all the previous Shows, don't offer what this game does in one package.

Its extremely unfortunate that there seems to be some issues with the patches, and I do find it nerve racking that I don't want to take the chance of messing up my RTTS by moving forward right now, or using the cloud save feature for my Vita. Overall though, when these get fixed, this is still the best playing game of baseball.

With the number of people reporting this, I'm surprised this wasn't caught. There's gotta be a variable at work in here somewhere.

I have been on the phone with PlayStation, basically they are saying, they haven't received enough complaints in regards to this problem, so they don't consider this a problem. Call the number, and let them know. 1-800-345-7669

Hands down my favorite console sports game of all time (along with NBA2K11).

I am starting to get perturbed with the insane amount of bashing the game is taking this year. I mean I am really shocked. I only play offline franchise so I can't comment on the online issues, vita cloud issues and the RTTS issues. If your an offline franchise/season player this game is a wet dream.

The only thing I am starting to see a tad too much of is ground rule doubles due to the ball bouncing a little too much. That needs to be nerfed down a little. The ball physics are so amazing otherwise. The new tru-broadcast presentation is truly amazing. So many little nuances that are far better than last years game (which is still an amazing game in it's own right). The pace of the new presentation is so much better. The OSD's are so much better, even the dated commentary has been upgraded for franchise players.

Anyway I am preaching to a big choir. I have been so immersed in The Show 12 since release. I have been playing it and don't see myself ever putting it away. This will be a year round game for me just like NBA2K11 has become. I thought I was going to pass this years title because of how awesome 11 was. I am so glad I picked up 12.

At this point, the people that gave their impressions are simply playing and enjoying the game. No need to harp on how much they are enjoying it... they're just playing. A lot of long time guys have gone silent... and that's actually a good thing.

Yeah a couple of us were just talking about that thru PM. The baseball forum has changed alot this year and it seems a lot of the old timers are just keeping thier heads down an communicating with PM or just behind curtain if you will. I am really missing Countryboy and some of the others. Even you aren't on as much as you were last year. I have been lurking more than ever, just biting my lip and trying not to post.

I'm not experiencing any of the freezes so I have nothing to offer. Quite honestly, after the start times were fixed I'm just playing the game and enjoying it. I am enjoying this one more than any other and am entrenched in my Mets franchise.

There is only so much positivity you can add when a game plays great. There may be some things I would like to see improved but nothing game breaking like in other titles and genres.

Hate to cut you guys off, but I just realized we shouldn't really have two threads for impressions so I'm going to have to lock this one up. If you're enjoying the game, don't worry about the forum - just enjoy the game! That's why we buy these titles.
