So did you have a OS roster or default?

I'm using the OSFM roster file. I have to franchises saved and both froze on me when trying to load them. I can't remember the exact dates I'm on but I know both are only 5 or 6 games into the regular season.

From reading everyone's posts, it looks like an existing franchise with a custom roster set might be causing the freeze with the new patch.


Now the question is, if we start a new franchise using OSFM, will the patch cause any freezing issues. Will find out soon.

This is exactly what I am thinking it is but I don't want to speculate and cause hoopla in the forums. I am also at work and am unable to try it.

I'm sure the fixes implemented may be conflicting with any custom roster so if anyone has a pre-existing franchise without custom rosters, please chime in if you are seeing freezes as well.

I'll be a guinea pig -

I'm going to delete my game data so it rolls back to the unpatched game and start an OSFM franchise (I can't go back to the most recent patch so it's not a perfect experiment, unfortunately). Then, I'll download the patch and try to continue it. If this issue is as widespread as it seems, I should end up getting the freeze too.

Will report back.

I wonder what would cause the freezing in RttS then unless custom rosters are were used there. I'll have to try it out when I get home. I used default rosters with my RttS so I'll make a note to see if it freezes.

I posted above. I did not use custom rosters when starting my RTTS.

I've got an existing franchise with the default rosters, but I'm at work right now so I can't test it. If nobody else has by the time I get home, I'll give it a whirl.

Well that stinks. Maybe it will not be the same case for a franchise.

Maybe others can confirm they are are seeing the same? Your scenario could be an aberration so we should try and gather more feedback if we can.

I went home and played a bit for lunch, loaded up my Red Sox franchise with no problems

Did you use OSFM roster set or the default rosters? I assume this was an existing franchise.

In a brand new season (created just now, post patch), I got a freeze when clicking on the free agent list. This was with the OSFM 25 man roster by Hustlin. I don't have time to do anymore testing at the moment, but maybe someone can try the FA list with the default roster to see what happens.

It appears to be random. I think I've read that some people with existing franchises or RttS haven't had issues while others have...

pre-existing franchise: simming through the schedule (screen were you can sim through all games on that day) = freezes ! when you load the franchise again and try to sim again through the games i´ve got no freezes but then this freeze happened again 2 days later ...

new franchise:
sim through two month without any freezes also with osfm roster file


BUT: also the in game leader stats are messed up !!! for example lead homerun hitter al : bautista 17.00 fielder 16.00 etc...

So freeze and stat issues galore...I can see scea repatching it quick... I think they had similar issues with 10 or 11 and was good about patching it fast.

Existing Franchise using 30 team control, using the Yankees as my main team.

Loaded up the franchise fine, and as I was looking through all the team schedules I got a freeze. Started up my system again, and then tried the same thing, didn't freeze, and I was able to play my next game against the Twins after all the other games were simmed.

I am using OSFM Spring Training Rosters.

One thing to note: I was signed into the PSN when it froze, but was not signed in when I was able to play the game. I will test it again later.

Just Passing Info..........

I'm not receiving any freezing issues or crashes and able to advance in the calendar dates. I'm using a preexisting franchise, and the OSFM spring roster file. I'm also controlling 30 teams.

2 additional points that may be useful.

1- I don't log onto the PSN network when the machine is turned on.
2- I have no custom audio files
