Here's what I have found and what I think is the real issue causing freezes in franchise and season:

I have a Red Sox franchise and the last game I played before the patch was July 30. The game was completed.

I downloaded the patch and fired up my season and the date was still July 30, but the result of the game already was reflected in the win-loss and stats. When I tried to play the game on the 30th again, the pitching matchup was wrong and all my players were tired. I played it anyway and saved to a new file. When I tried to play the July 31st game, it froze and continued to freeze.

The patch somehow messed up the calendar, probably because part of the patch fix was start times. I only tried the Red Sox, but it appears certain teams have this issue and certain teams do not.

As far as freezes in exhibition games, etc., I have no idea why this is happening. I haven't had it happen to me. I started a new season post-patch and have had no problems.

Does anyone know if deleting patch 1.06 deletes the other updates that were downloaded on release and a few days after, or just that patch?

It is sad that a patch can wreak this much havoc just for a few simple tweaks and fixes. Hopefully, there will be a patch to the patch soon, otherwise our choices are start all over or delete the patch (and perhaps everything else that came before it) and plug away with our season/franchises.

I think you nailed it here. I noticed for the Angles-Blue Jays game that had pitchers with a win/loss/save (all wrong though) that all the players were tired as well.

I can't figure out how to. I used the sendspace thing that was previously mentioned, and I have my USB in, but I just can't figure it out.

Froze again, this time when trying to view the schedule for the Angels. I went the other direction, and cycled through the Yankees, Red Sox, and all the National League teams with no problems at all. I went all the way around to Oakland, no problems. The instant I pressed the button to change teams (to what would be Anaheim Angels), it froze again.

Gave this a shot and was able to cycle through all schedules. Did that once, then went back to my own schedule (Royals), and pressed left to go to April 9th, it froze on me.

Tried moving all around the April and May schedule for the Royals, and no freeze until I went back to April 10th (The current day), and pressed left to go to April 9th. Immediate freeze on that day, from that direction. Going to do some more testing and see what else I can figure out.

Ill chime in now, just got home from work. I started my season, yes season not franchise, on the vita last night prepatch with osfmst.

Played three games.

Came home today dl'ed the patch, dl'ed my season to my ps3, (now mind you, I don't have the os roster on my ps3) checked out my roster and many others which all looked to be fine, simmed through August and no freezes.

Backed out, reloaded and resumed my fourth game of the season with no hitch. As if yet anyway.

30 Team control on(2 profiles--1 for my team, 1 for other 29)

OSFM ST roster. Had played through Apr 26 befor d/l patch. D/l patch and played Fri Apr 27 game with no issue. Simmed other games using today's games(press x, play, sim, sportscast, manage option screen). On Sat Apr 28th using same method the Oak vs Bal and Sea vs Oak games have no line score entry for the visiting teams(oak and sea). When trying to advance to play my team's game, it freezes. Start times match up on all 4 of the above teams schedule. Hope that helps the devs somehow.

I can scroll through all franchise menu options without an issue. It's only once those 2 incomplete games sim, does it occur

EDIT: I tried playing those 2 games(started it then ff to end) that works without a freeze but when games are completed, it still shows blank linescores for Oak and Sea in Today's games section

I believe this file needs to be looked at by Ramone and SCEA. It has a very specific ....viewable issue.

Thinking about this, I wonder if the reason different people are getting freezes with different teams is because we're on different days.

For instance, Bobhead, you said the schedule froze on the Angels and Indians. I can view their schedules without an issue. I can also go to April 9th using the schedule of any other team, but as soon as I go to it with the Royals schedule, it freezes. I can look at every other day on the Royals schedule, but no matter how I try to go to April 9th (April 10th is the current day in-game), it freezes on me before the little box even moves.

I hope posting this does not jinx my franchise, but I am on May 13th of my Orioles chise. I control just the Orioles, am using the spring training addition of Knights OS roster, and have loaded sounds of the show for all of the American League except for the AL West as well as the entire NL. I downloaded the patch this morning and played a game which I lost (another story in itself) and am about to play another game. This will be my second game post patch. Wish me luck!

2 games down post patch with my single team franchise. Everything went smoothly except for the aforementioned stats now showing decimal value.

I just looked through all the other team's schedules for the month of May and I did not get a freeze (I went through each month for the Angels and Indians and no freeze)

They changed the dates on some teams schedules post patch. Probably due to MLB's screwy opening week schedule.

For example pre-patch the Marlins open with STL on APR 4th, then have the 5th as an off day and start a 3 game set with Cincy on the 6th.

Post-PAtch They open with STL on the 4th. Play Cincy on the 5th. Have on off day on the 6th and then play the final two games of that series on the 7th and 8th.

pre-patch the Mariners and A's open the season and play a 3 games set starting Apr 6th and going through april 8th.

post patch they open on April 5th and play a 4 game set going from the 5th through the 8th.

So if you've already started your franchise the game isn't seeing those pre-patch games. Probably some sort of database mismatch, causing lockups.

This isn't a freezing issue but an issue nonetheless. I started a 3rd franchise from an existing "shell" file simmed to opening day and all the rosters fixed. The roster file I have on all three franchises I've referenced is actually Hustlin's 25 man rosters so I had to go in and fill the 40 man rosters after Spring Training. Anyway, I'm playing as the Red Sox at Detroit and hit a no-doubter homer with Adrian Gonzalez into the RF bleachers. However, for whatever reason, the game didn't recognize it as HR and Gonzalez stopped on 1B being rewarded a single instead. Once I finish the game I'll post a video.

Based off of everything I have read, it sounds like you just have to re-start your franchise or wait for a fix.

THIS! This is exactly the issue. Any team that had its schedule adjusted post-patch causes a freeze. Hopefully they can fix this.

Based off of everything I have read, it sounds like you just have to re-start your franchise or wait for a fix.

I've spent way to much time screwing around with it today, but my software development background wouldn't let me stop. My conclusion is you are correct.

I'm on April 19th (as in the last game played was the 18th) in my franchise. I deleted the patch and can view anything I need to.

And you don't need to restart the franchise, you can easily just delete the patch. Again the patch is saved separately. Just go to XMB, go to Game Data, and delete the file titled "Additional Content."

I've found you can actually simulate those missing games, but then it causes a lockup if you try to view the boxscore.

To me, it's a schedule issue, the database or something isn't getting fully updated when loading a patched franchise that's already been started. Or something to that affect.

When I scroll to May 20th, that is when mine freezes. I just scroll to it keep in mind, not play or sim to it. I decided to sim to it without saving(I play every single game) and see what happens, simmed to the day before and it was fine. Simmed May 20th, and it didnt't freeze, simmed past it and it didnt freeze. It just freezes when I scroll to the 20th of May. I have no theories or explanations for this. I'm using the Yankees by the way.
