Instead of restarting, couldn't you guys just delete the patch, play the last 10 or so games of April, then re-download the patch again? Once you no longer have to view the "corrupted" month, you are technically no longer at risk for freezing. Plus playing 10 games without the patch fixes beats playing 12 games over again.

Just make sure you don't accidentally go backwards in the schedule and view the month of April, ever, for any reason, and this method should definitely work for you, and hopefully a future patch will fix the corruption for good.

Franchise. In my calendar, I see a game that has no score, but that has been played. I played a full game, then sim one, went to view box score and it froze the PS3. Gonna remove the patch i guess...pretty bad.

I mentioned earlier how I only knew that my RTTS was freezing. Well, I tried loading my Tigers franchise, and that didn't even get to the menu. It froze upon loading the file. So both my files are frozen. Awesome. I uploaded my RTTS to the cloud and I am about to see if it can be used on the vita. I hope that I can play it in the future on my PS3, but right now that is looking doubtful. I havent seen any Vita issues, and I hope it loads fine. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed.

I was having the same initial problem (freezing after loading the file) this afternoon when I first downloaded the patch. I deleted the patch file (additional content file under Game Data Utility folder) and was able to load up my franchise without any freezing issues. After I played a couple of games and saw I was going to be fine without the patch I re-downloaded it to see what would happen. After re-downloading I was able to re-load both of my saved franchise files.

Basically, what I'm saying is that you may need to delete the patch and re-download it. If that doesn't work, then delete the patch again, try playing a few games of your franchise, save it, then download the patch for a third time.

Ok. Dl patch. Continued my franchise (twins) game is in august and no freezing issues for me thus far

That's a darn good idea. Maybe some of you who are experiencing the freeze should try this. For instance, if you are in April, and are freezing, DELETE the patch, then sim to say June 1st, then re-download the patch, and see if it still freezes....

This seems to have worked for at least one person (see a couple posts above). It seems the problem is eliminated once franchises progress to a certain point (perhaps because the "corrupted games" are in a previous month that isn't being viewed.

Yeah, I finally just ran a test sim and saw the same thing. I think it's just an issue with the A's and Mariners. I looked at the season standings after simming every game and they both finished with 161 games played. Honestly, it's not that big of an issue unless your season plays out with either Oakland or Seattle losing out on a playoff berth by one game. In this particular test sim Seattle finished 31.5 games out of first and Oakland finished 23.5 games out of first.

A ha, the infamous 09 schedule bug re-emerging. I kinda figure that was the culprit.... (If I remember correctly, in 09, it was the Dodgers and Padres that had only 161 games in the stock schedule. This was "fixed" in the patch by adding a game between the two on the second or third day of the season. However, this euchred any franchises that had advanced past the day the game was added) This is most likely something similar.

Is there a new issue with sounds of the show?

The only issue I have seen is the mid inning music doesnt play through.
For instance in the 7th inning stretch I have a "Take me out to the ball game" ("TMOTTBG") file of Harry Caray. It begins to play after the last out of the top of the 7th, but as soon the the presentation cuts to the bottom half of the 7th, the music cuts out and you hear the stock music of "TMOTTBG"
I barely get through Harry saying "Ah 3, Take me out....." and it cuts

This was not the case last year. Last year I could listen to the whole song through the presentation cut all the way through until the first pitch of the bottom half.

Man, this is very disappointing for guys who are deep into their franchises. I just don't understand how something like this slips through.

No problem with freezing here, after basically trying everything to get it to freeze. My Franchise was an existing one, using OSFM, 1-team control (DET), custom sounds... The only discrepancy is that I started with an in-game save, since I had played half a game before bed last night. Still no matter what, I can't produce a freeze, even holding the buttons/sticks to scroll thru schedule, players, free agents, league leaders, etc. super fast.

Man, this is very disappointing for guys who are deep into their franchises. I just don't understand how something like this slips through.

To me, it isn't that much of a deal, as I don't play online at all, I just play franchise. and I have been having so much fun playing my Tiger's franchise pre patch, and there weren't any game breaking issues pre patch, that I don't feel the need to download the patch. I'm content with playing out my franchise without the patch.

That said, I'm just throwing ideas off the wall, as to what the problem may be, and maybe something will stick, so that the fine people at SCEA (kudos on a great game, all issues asside) can get to the bottom of this, and fix this.

That's the thing about this forum. Everyone on here is so helpful, and willing to go above and beyond, to help others out. It's a pleasure to be a member of this great site.

So just had a game completely skipped on the schedule in my chise. Sorry if it's been discussed already in this thread. Game was flat out not played and sits on the schedule with no results nearly a week later. Weird.

I am up to April 21st in my mets franchise. i downloaded the patch soon as it came out yesterday morning. So far no problems of any kind. But curious if i should delete the patch now, then when i get past the 28th, redownload it to avoid any of these patch related problems. What would someone recommend? I am using knights ST rosters with reds pitch edits. I also did a lot of work setting up this franchise, such as setting up lineups, rotations, and dl'ing guys.

Now the question becomes will the fix for this patch affect newly started franchises post-patch lol.

Edit: Also is the problem with the ticker stats (example: HR being 15.00 instead of 15) occuring in new franchises or just pre-existing ones?
