Scouting in baseball is way different than recruiting in college football. Football talent impacts your team much faster. Group that with a 12 game season it's instant gratification playing ncaa. The Show requires more commitment and patience to see propspects peak.

Hence why this year I'm going to skip the football franchises for the first time ever.

i wasnt attempting to make a comparison between the two...i just meant that in both instances, i can put my stamp on the specific team/school that i built from decency to greatness.....yeah i've noticed quite a few gamers skipping both games.....it's just gunna be hard for me to be watching football in late December/January and be playing The Show...

That is what happens to me. I can be playing the show having a great time.. and then I watch a football game and I'm like okay time to go buy one. I didn't buy a football game last year so I think I am going to have to this year. Just probably not at release.

Tampa Bay just offered me SP Matt Moore (A) for Jonathan Singleton (A) and Jimmy Paredes (B)...

Of course I'm going to decline but I hope Singleton becomes the man and doesn't have an injury prone career. Geez

I love your Astro thread, too bad the Twins don't have one.. I see a lot of debate on if you should start your franchise over for Scott's rosters or not. I was wondering what your takes on it is.

I play every single game no matter what and am currently 90 games in on my Twins chise. I'm in last by a lot and traded away a lot of talent for prospects. Keep in mind im using OSFM Spring training set right now so the rosters are not that great with having correct pitches and such.

Its extremely tempting to start over and have Buxton ( I downloaded the one yanks made from the vault and simmed some seasons and he becomes a beast and I would love playing with him.. ) If I start over I will not be getting MLB 13 ( Hopefully it isn't much better than 12 ) so I will hope to get quite a few seasons in of the show ( On 06 I got 3 and 1/2 seasons in )

Sorry for the wall of text, this is just a tough decision for me and I was looking for some input. The only other game I play is Madden too.

Its tough, but maybe if I start over maybe I make a run for the division. If a Twins thread was made I think it'd die off really quick.

u never know....if the Astros can generate attraction, the Twins can't be that far off...at least u guys have the M&M boys....what non-hardcore fan can name 3 guys on the Astros? that's how this thread started..a random guy whose not even an Astros fan i might add, creating a thread and gamers started trickling in because they were intrigued and wanted a serious rebuild job

Yea I'm not even a fan of the Astros, but wanted a challenge so I went with the Stro's. Now there starting to grow on me. But still can't leave my Braves

Most definitely. Can't say I knew who Jonathon Singleton was, but now I am completely relying upon him for years to come haha...

I knew most of their MLB roster from fantasy baseball and just being a fan in general I guess... But now I can attribute more information to them. Crazy what video games can do to you haha.

Same here...I feel like I know the Astros as well as I know my Tigers after discussing and franchising with the Astros for a bit here.

Singleton better be the man lol. Because if he isn't, we're definitely screwed
