Re: PLAYER BATTING STANCES THAT NEED TO BE UPDATED FOR MLB 13

I don't know if this has been said or not, but BJ Upton HAS to be updated. He has a REALLY high leg kick now and it needs to be completely overhauled.

And I've already said this before, but Jeter needs to have to Pedroia motion where he leans towards the ball after every pitch, specifically the ones where he doesn't swing. Look at Pedroia's stance in this game and you'll know what I mean.

And Miggy's stance and Fielder's stance need to be updated. Miggy moves his bat a lot and is bent over and he just stands there in the game. Also, I believe he has a two handed follow through in the game, which I don't think he does in the game. And Fielder's bat moves too much and his home run follow through isn't good. It really needs to emphasize that Fielder pulling his bat back after a homer. Ray Durham in MVP 05 had the PERFECT Fielder stance.

And Hanley needs a good follow through. Every home run he holds his bat out and just kind of looks at the ball it looks awesome. Josh Hamilton is the obvious one. His follow through and leg kick are PERFECT, but he needs the bat to move more sort of like Alvarez's in the game, have his bat up higher and move it more, but keep the follow through. And on the opposite end, I feel like Stanton moves his bat too much. His crouch is perfect, but he's pretty calm at the plate and in the game he shakes his bat pretty bad and his bat is now on his shoulder standing still.

And Bautista needs to be crouched more, have his legs apart, and have his bat higher towards his head and moving. And Pujols needs to be standing up straight instead of bent over and have his bat higher.

And Ichiro moves towards the ball like a soft ball player and his legs are extended outwards more and he has that high leg kick. That NEEDS to be in there. With all these custom swings and follow throughs now, there is no excuse. And Granderson needs to have his follow through which makes him pull the ball a lot. His one handed follow through looks bad, and he needs to be crouched more and have his bat back moving more.

And Longoria is good except he needs to be calm. He moves too much in his batting stance and the bat needs to be higher. I'm not being critical, because I love the game, but all these players swings and follow throughs have been updated, and these are some key players that need updates.

And I know in the past y'all have fixed plenty of players like Cano etc. Cano used to have a horrible stance, but now it is perfect. And Verlander's looks perfect, but it goes too slow. His motion is really quick in real life. Oh, and I wish y'all would change Teixeira's follow through. It still feels like the old school swings despite being a new stance.

And I hope Cespesdes HR celebration in 13 is AWESOME like it is in real life lol, he's a skinny freak in the game, he looks like Sammy Sosa in real life!

Oh, I know this doesn't have anything to do with batting stances. But players like Mike Moustakas and Andruw Jones have these awesome camera angles when they hit bombs, but other players that should don't. For instance, when Moose hits a homer, the camera goes really high and you know its a homer, players like Fielder should definitely have that and they don't.

I hope you take all of these into consideration, I tried to get as many pictures as I could find, even though videos are significantly better. And I'm sure I'll think of more later. I just love the new follow through home runs that you gave specific players like Bautista. It's so cool that they all aren't the generic swing anymore.

Couldn't find a good picture for jeter

This is the best picture I could find of Longoria

Best picture I could find of Pujols

And THIS is the perfect picture demonstrating Grandy's stance.

I'm struggling to find a picture of Upton, but if you watch an at bat, you will see the huge leg kick where he contorts his body. It looks really cool.

      2. When you push the swing button before the pitch, he places his bat upwards and lets his bat drop downwards. Then he circles his bat around back and repeats it a few times. Then he goes back to his batting stance but jiggles a few times while waving the bat above his head once or twice like Victor Martinez does just before he does go to his actual stance.

      3. When he takes his step towards the pitcher, first he taps his front foot, and then he takes his step towards the pitcher.

And I know they can do this, because they did it with Pedroia in the game.

I hope for next year if they put Manny's stance in the game as a generic, they use his old stance from I believe MLB 09 the Show. It was perfect, and it was changed after that to what it is now, which really isn't very Manny like.

Re: PLAYER BATTING STANCES THAT NEED TO BE UPDATED FOR MLB 13

          Player: Joe Mauer

What needs to be updated: His front foot should stay flat on the ground. His feet should be spread out more and both knees need more bend. I thought that would be correct since he did mo-cap for his stance.

          Player: Trevor Plouffe

What needs to be updated: I feel he has a very unique stance and will be put into MLB 13. Matt Stairs' stance comes close, but Trevor has a few tweaks. One-handed follow through and a high stride. Open stance as seen in the picture.

          Player: Ben Revere

What needs to be updated: He also has a very unique stance. He has a medium stride and his stance is slightly open.

          Player: Josh Willingham

What needs to be updated: His legs should be still and his front foot should be flat on the ground. His bat should be just behind his helmet and his back elbow should be parallel with the ground. His bat should also be still with barely any movement with the bat height even
with the top of his helmet as seen in picture and video.

Carlos Gonzalez. He has a very open stance, but in The Show it's a fairly normal one. He also has more bat wiggle than what is in the show. I can't find a good picture of his stance, but watch a Rockies game this season, then play as the Rockies in the show. Big difference.

Stance should be a little more closed, knees bent, bat high and leaning toward the pitcher
