Re: Playing every game during the season

Only got one game in last night so that makes it 27 down 2403 to go.

Vegas, im not sure what my record is at the moment, i could go through the games i have played and figure it out though, because i know which teams i have played every game. never thought about doing that but it has peaked my interest, maybe if i have time tonight i will do that.

I hope you keep at least 7 save files on your PS-3 HD and another 7 or more on at least one flash drive after you finish each game.

Only got 1 game in last night, actually played a game but then it froze on the exit screen after the game was over, so i replayed the game then called it a night. 28 down 2402 to go.

I went through last night and counted up my record and through 28 games i am 16-12. a few of those 16 wins came early on before i had the sliders set whre i wanted them and i racked up abuot 3 or 4 easy wins. since then its been pretty even.

Hannah - why do you hope i am creating 14 save files, just to make sure that i dont loose the season to a corrupted file?

I play one game a day, every day, with the Louisville Bats (AAA). Good luck getting through that many games! I really should be able to get through an entire season with my Bats, but I could't imagine playing over 1000 games like you're trying to get through!
Check out my three critically acclaimed dynasties in the Dynasty HQ section:

Run For The Playoffs - A Louisville Bats AAA dynasty

Gimmie A Hell! Gimmie A Yeah! - This is Blue Mountain State Football.

Single-A Baseball on The Show? Un-Flocking-Believable! - Go Myrtle Beach Pelicans!

It is just a good idea so you don't lose your progress. I have 2 PS-3 consoles and this year I am hoping to play one season apiece with the Tigers and the Rockies. I save 7 season files to each PS-3 and 7 season files saved to 2 separate flash drives. Then, when I play thru the next game, I delete 3 of the previous saved files on the PS-3 HD and both flash drives and save 7 updated files to the PS-3 HD and each flash drive. That way, I have 7 new saved files and four saves from the previous day. It sounds ridiculous, but I do it.

I'm very curious. . . For the OP, are you married? Kids? What is your job? It is difficult for me to understand how you could possibly even fathom playing this many games.

Re: Playing every game during the season

I got a good amount of games done over the weekend. I am up to 36 games played, which leaves 2394.

Yes i am married, yes i have 3 children, and i work in an office with health insurance.

I think alot of people that read this are assuming that i think i can get all these games played before 13 comes out. i have done the math and know what it would take to do that and there is no way that i will be able to do that. the thing is, i have no time frame set for doing this. when i get the itch to play Madden i go back and play the Madden game from 2010 because i have a franchise going on that game that i still havent finished and get instantly back into the game. it may take me 5 years to complete this but i thought it would be fun to track my progress in it to give me more encouragement to try and get it done

Re: Playing every game during the season

I have a couple of questions for you. #1-When you play one game, do you throw all the pitches for both teams, or just one team? #2-What set of rosters are you using and did you make any hitter or pitcher edits to rating or individual pitches? and #3-I think the PS-4 is set to be released within the next 2 years. This is the only thing stopping me from doing what you are doing. With the first game of the MLB The Show on the PS-4, I may do what you are presently doing. I also think that it is wise to spread it out over at least four years. If you played 11 games per week, you could finish in about 4.5 years. If you enable Fast Play under the Presentations option, games take half the time. I will follow your progress over a period of years if you actually accomplish this lofty goal. I hope you do.

This might be asking a lot, and I know you're a ways away from this, but you should post league leaders after every month. It'd be cool to see how things are playing out. I'd love to be able to do have the patience to do what you're doing and good luck!

I'd really like it if there was a way for him to share his overall stats against his CPU opponent's. Like, I'm hitting .265 through 37 games and the CPU is hitting .258 (etc).

                      Is this a possibility?

                        1. I just play one side, i pitch and bat for just the one team.
                        2. I am using Scotts rosters
                        3. I do use fast play as well. it usually takes me about 45 minutes to get a game in with no interuptions, give or take a few minutes

I am going to do the same thing as you are doing. I decided tonite that since this is the only game I own and I will purchase a PS-4 asap when it is released, that I will be able to keep the PS-3 for this game only. I have done hitter edits and will be using seanjeezy V3 pitch edits for each pitcher as I do those edits to each pitching team before I play their first game of the season. I will use Fast Play and disable it only when it appears I have given up a HR to the CPU. I am ONLY going to pitch with each team in every game. I will NOT even bat one at-bat the entire season. This way, every stat, for both Pitchers and Hitters, will be realistic -- so my ineptitude with hitting will not negatively influence any hitters avg. This may take me 5 years, but, if I live long enough to do it .... then I will accomplish it. I will start a Thread and hopefully somebody wants to follow it as I post every couple games and I will give you Screen-Shots and Injury/Stat Updates if I can figure out how to post pics. I am a full-time college student with one year left to earn my Bachelor's Degree, I am single, and I am a girl .... but I adore Baseball I want to see how our seasons compare, Funkey Monkey.

                            Hannah, are you actually female?

If so, you'd literally be the first I've seen disclose that in the Show section on OS.

Yes, my cousin wants me to help him play thru an entire season, so I said I would. Sometimes he posts on OS under this account. I don't mind admitting that I am a girl. This is a fun game and my girlfriends think the game is stupid and a waste of time. But, it doesn't stop me from playing The Show a few hours per week.

Disregard the question about your cousin over in your thread. And good luck.
