Just downloaded the newest update today. I am in mid July (after all star break like on the 21st) with my Cubs franchise.

I played my next game against the Cardinals and after the game it came up that Jeff Baker came off the DL I could auto utilize or place on bench. After I made a selection the game just froze. I tried this 4 times and everytime it would freeze in the same spot.

Needless to say I'm pretty pissed right now, and not sure what to do.

As of right now, you have 2 options.

Restart your Franchise with 1.16
or
Delete all patches and play through your season unpatched.


The patch will cause freezes on any Franchises after the ASG.

Wouldn't 1.16 be all of those patches combined? As I mentioned earlier I just bought the game and I was prompted to DL 1.16.

so luckily I had a game saved before the AS break on my cloud so i hit load from cloud and was able to play past the AS break until July 24th. Now it freezes at that date.

This may be a dumb question, but I have never ran into a problem like this before, but how do you unpatch?

Go to your Data Utility on your XMB and look for MLBTS "Additional Content"
That is your patch(s)

Delete it and you will be unpatched.


FYI, you will not be able to access ANY online features unpatched... ie online play, rosters or even classic stadiums.

Gripe. I set up sounds of the show (ps3), and when some sounds are cued the stock sound and the custom sound are played. I remember this sucking last year too. I'd love an option to shut off the stock sounds.

Are you playing without any patches? I believe 1.06 fixed that, for the end/mid-inning sounds at least.

No it didnt. Those issues still remain even after 1.16 and the mid/end inning music cuts off after the presentation break.

For some reason when you add the Yankees strikeout whistle, the whistle that is already in the game plays too. I just didn't add my own when I did my Sounds of the Show.

That bites because I have the one PC Richard & Son supplied to OS for 2010. Far better than the stock one.

My RTTS is frequently "hanging" now after the patch....not freezing. Pitcher will throw one and it just sails past the catcher and you can hear it hit the backstop....then nothing.

Nobody moves a muscle, save for the pitcher who is impatiently waiting for the ball to be thrown back to him but it never comes. The game is still "live" in that I can hold triangle to bunt, practice swing, etc. But no response from the start button or any other means to back out. Have to shut down the game.

Very aggravating, especially if you forget to save after each and every RTTS appearance.

I started my franchise after 1.06 and haven't had any issues.
