Looks like I'd be in the clear based on what Goodolboy said.

But I didn't even have the courage to DL 1.06. Guess it won't hurt me to wait it out a little while longer, but accurate start times do sound tempting (because the lighting engine is THAT good).

I would hold off then. Just my opinion, but I think you would more than likely be adversely affected.

I realize this isnt must of a sample size, but after reading his post, I decided to DL 1.16 and so far (2 games) Ive had no issues.
I am just now playing yesterday's games in Franchise.

Stats seem fine, record seems fine, box scores are fine. No freezes and no issues.

To summarise:

If you started your franchise after 1.06 then you will be fine.

If you started before there could well be problems.

As for RTTS etc, i dont know, not a mode i play.

if your rtts is after the all star break, do not get the patch

got the update and i cant play rtts now. every time i hit play next app. it freezes. tried 5+ times. freezes same spot everytime. quickly growing tired of these updates breaking the game

This happened starting with patch to version 1.06

My RTTS is useless, wasted much money on my player, and now they come out with a new patch that from what I have seen does not even acknowledge the problem.

I am at virgin edition, deleted patch 1.06 and franchise continues to work fine, but RTTS is hosed. It has to do with the date of your last save, whether reverting will make it ok or not.

from what I read here on this forum, RTTS is still broken. They apparently didn't even fix the huge problem that 1.06 caused for RTTS. Great work! Glad I wasted money buying training points.

And this patch has apparently introduced even more problems, screwing up peoples franchises. I thought SCEA was above all this sort of thing, they seem to be going down hill from what I have observed this year.

I will just stay at 1.0 until/unless they fix the real problems, problems they themselves have caused with "patches"

I read if your franchise is past the all-star break but before the playoffs it will freeze. If you are before the all-star break everything should be fine.

Mine was totally fine but then again I just started one and was only 2 games in.

I don't know about this latest patch, but if you applied the previous one, and rtts is fine, then you skated by I guess. Petrhaps you had an rtts save from dated before the patch was applied. Or started afterwards. Thats the ticket as I understood it.

Personally I wouldn't take a chance with this new patch, doesn't seem to do much anyway, except mess up some franchises. But you must have got lucky on prev patch with rtts or started it after the patch was applied perhaps.

No idea what this latest might or might not do to your rtts.

People need to relax. I understand the immense frustration. Imagine the folks over at SCEA. They are a highly professional first class team that have given us years of great baseball games. I am sure they are just as upset as the many players going through some of the issues being posted here.

The bottom line is they have always been very accessible here at OS so cut them a little slack as they work through some of these unconfirmed (meaning SCEA has not confirmed these issues yet) frezzing and stat issues post patch 1.16

Seriously, let's keep it civil.

We are talking about a first class product (The Show series) not some fly by night company that has offered no produt support.

Off my soap box.

For the record.

I started my franchise post 1.06 and DL 1.16 using OSFM Opening Day rosters. I am in the month of May.

No issues.

This Post led me to think that 1.16 did indeed fix the RTTS problem I had. Thus I went ahead and installed the patch, going effectively from 1.0 to 1.16 since I removed the other patch (Additional Content on PS3 Main Screen) I did this based on a 'work around' posted elsewhere on this forum.

I am happy to say my RTTS is fine and dandy now. The saved files that were freezing before, are all fine. I played a complete game with one. Saved it to todays date and closed down game. Reloaded, tried again all 3 rtts saves I have, todays and two from mid april and all is fine. No freezing. For me it was freezing when I clicked on any date in the schedule, past, that day, or future. No more is this happening.

I apologize for assuming this issue was not addressed, but the original post made no mention of it at all, thus I saw no reason to install the patch.

For me, it has been fixed, and I am grateful to SCEA and apologize for the wrong assumption. I guess the list on the OP just was not very complete.

Back to my RTTS and happy. As for franchise I am still in ST and hope for no problems when I start the season
