I am like 100+ games in and now when I try to advance past my last game, an injury pops up to let me know someone is back from DL and when I try to select something, it freezes.. I have played a lot of these games and HOPE I do not have to restart my 'chise. If anyone knows anything to fix this, let me know.

I'm screwed.

My RTTS froze immediately after loading from cloud. It would load but as soon as I hit "play next appearance" it froze and crashed my ps3.

After giving up on that I sucked it up and went to my last hard-save on the PS3 (which cost me a good 2 months of in-game play). Got through 2 games then crashed the PS3 after a freeze like above.

I simply cannot believe there has been no official acknowledgement of this.

People stupidly cry about about the wrong color batting helmets making it a "broken game" but this seriously is a broken game at the moment.

I'm in the same boat I downloaded the newest update and did a cross platform save of my rtts from my ps to vita was able to play 1 game now my rtts is frozen and won't let me proceed.. I spent $25 on my rtts player and am very upset and really hoping a fix comes because my rtts is useless at this point. My season so far hasn't been effected by patch although have only played season on vita and haven't tried a cross platform save which may be why its not freezing up.. come on scea please give us something

So what would be the consenus, I have an unopened copy that I can return, just seems like there are more issues than ever before, Used to be one maybe two patches cleared everything up and you could be good to go by mid may, now I'm not sure. This is my first Show since '09. Do I return it?

Just about every issue in this thread relates to compatibility issues from one of the prior patches: files were started before a certain patch, and so there are conflicts.

If you haven't actually started playing, none of these things will apply to you, because your file doesn't pre-date any patches.

You should be good to go, and I would go ahead and enjoy the game.

My brother played the second game of his franchise and it locked up after the game. I have 1.05 and haven't had even one freeze this year. Not a single one.

Update thru today 5/6/2012 :I have played all games ( RTTS ) up to the 2016 spring training, so far I have still had no problems with either patches ( no freezes what so ever ). Its really good and seems that the many ground rule doubles, hitting off the pitcher, and no bloop singles have been fixed, the game really plays awesome now.
FYI: I only play Season and RTTS

Is 1.16 causing anyone's post game loading screen to freeze up???

My brother played the second game of his franchise and it locked up after the game. I have 1.05 and haven't had even one freeze this year. Not a single one.

Any ideas???

I experienced my first freeze yesterday, and I have 1.16. However, it could have been caused by disc or pending optical drive issue. I took out the disc and saw circle marks on it. I then used lens cleaner and lens tissue and wiped it clean. The tissue by itself wouldn't do the job. I put the disc back and the next game was fine, no freezing.

The freeze I experienced was when the screen popped up asking me if I wanted to save highlights to XMB. Is that when you had your freeze?

I believe you, but I am just saying it's not like it was before hitting the pitcher and more singles up the middle past the pitcher for me also and I did not have a ground rule double at all this time playing my RTTS and I was seeing alot of them before the patch, so maybe it just me, but it seems different if it's not fixed then, IMO.

had my first freeze just now, bottom of the 8th at fenway, tied 3-3. batter hit a two out liner that was just about to be caught by kotchman and froze. this was a franchise started after 2nd patch but before 3rd. only in may so i guess i'll start over

I have 2 PS3's and 2 The Show 12 discs, so I experimented. I noticed at the Start menu there wasn't any sound. I then took out the disc from PS3 that froze yesterday and put it in my other PS3. Both consoles are hooked up to the same TV. I heard the sound at Start menu and knew the problem was not the patch. I've been through something similar in the past. I believe the optical drive is going bad. It's not the disc because that played fine with sound in the other PS3. Thus, in my case, the freeze was due to PS3.

As far as the "circles" I saw on the disc, I believe that was because optical drive is going bad. Even after cleaning disc and removing those circles, they were back after playing one game. I cleaned them again and put the disc in my "good" PS3 and game played fine with sound at the Start menu.

All I play on here is the franchise mode. I use Texas. It keeps freezing. I bought the game put it in, it played fine. The. I got online and downloaded all that came up and it started freezing. I did a complete system restore it still freezes. What can I do? How do I delete patches? What patch do I need? Any help would be cool. Thanks
