There is a delay in transferring control, and it causes a hickup. And the defender doesn't get into position quick enough, and you get that FIELDER got handcuffed/looks afraid of the ball animation. This is only a user problem. If you play auto fielding or take notice at the CPU, this doesn't happen nearly as frequently.

A delay in transferring control should NOT be a user problem if the user already has the left-stick pointing in that direction when ball contact is made. I do this a lot when I pitch to a hitter who is clearly trying to lace the line, yet still it sqeaks by because my fielder simply refuses to field the ball (Chipper Jones, Cabrarra (sp?), Freese). I don't buy it.

I agree it shouldn't be a user problem, but I specified that so if the developers see it, it gives them a spot to look for a fix. The problem is a delay in getting control, which stalls the inital movements. So you get stuck in a too close to dive but too far from the ball animation. Furthermore you go into that animation early. So you don't even get the option to keep running and either knocking the ball down, or awkwardly fielding it between strides, and having a difficult throw. I prefer to have control. But there are 2 options, bitches about it aimlessly, or try to pinpoint the problem better so maybe a possible fix could happen.

With all respect Pared, what the hell are you talking about? Blend what with what? I'm a gamer, what do I do with the controller to respond to this? Please clarify.

If this goes over your head, I think there are much better ways to ask than this.

There's not much you can do in certain situations. We are discussing improvements that can be made to the control for the user in the future and how it's not impossible given certain scenarios using video evidence.
