Just threw a no-hitter with Capuano against my best mate in game 7 of our Dodgers Angels franchise. Gave up the one walk so i was devastated i couldn't get the perfect game, my mate came close in the same game with Grienke only giving up 2 hits in the bottom of the 9th one being a walk off shot by Cargo (traded Kemp for him).

Doug Drabek, R.B.I. Baseball. 1991. Thats seriously the last time i went a full 9 innings without allowing a hit or walk. I've been 3 outs away , heck 6 outs away MANY MANY times since then. But i guess I followed the A.P.I to much and it's been that long since.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
Kay... this is the first time I hate MLB 12 The Show.
Verlander just pitched a perfect game against me (Braves using Pure Analog on Veteran) in the first game of the World Series.LOL. To make matters worst I only lost 1-0 after giving up a run in the 1st.
Man... it was just so brutal... not once did he pitch a fastball down the middle... all his fastballs were just high or just low and pretty much all his pitches except his sliders were on or around the black. Plus, he kept changing speeds on me, so every time I even made contact it was just a popup. By the 8th inning I was so messed up I was just swinging at everything with contact. LOL.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
I just threw a perfect game with Adam Wainwright in the year 2016 against the Astros! I have played easily about 200 games of the Show this year and have never even took a no-hitter into the 7th. I have been playing baseball games since the original Nintendo baseball and have never thrown one ever!Last edited by cpic1; 10-09-2012, 11:11 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
A couple of months ago, I threw a perfect game with Kyle Lohse on a quick game against the Phillies (who I hadn't rid of Victorino and Pence yet). I have never even thrown a no hitter or done anything of the sort, and I have been playing baseball games religiously since Triple Play with Giambi on the front, which came out in, I believe, 2001."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
I had a perfect game going with Lester (this would've been my first perfect game/no-no) against the Skankees in my franchise. Going into the 9th I was so excited. The count was 2-1 against A-Roid who was batting 7th this game. He hits it to the monster, I think it was easy, but I dived and Crawford missed. I just yelled out a very inappropriate word and finished the ninth. Got a double-play and a K. Ended up with a 1 hitter and 0 over the minimum. All-in-all pretty awesome game!!!Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
Jake Peavy threw a No No against me in my Rangers franchise the other day. It felt a little cheap as he got away with quite a few mistakes and I hit some balls really hard but they always seemed to be right at someone. I have been playing baseball games since the RBI and Bases Loaded days on the NES and this is the first time I can recall being no-hit.
I personally have never thrown a no no, came within a few outs several times in '11 but I don't think I've made it past 4 or 5 innings in '12. It seems this year if you lose your focus and make a mistake the CPU makes you pay for it more often than not.Texas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
I've never actually thrown a no-hitter in the show but I have gotten no hit. It was in my Mets franchise against Kris Medlin. I just couldn't touch any of his pitches and whenever I would hit something it would be right at somebodyComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
I was once 1 out away, and twice 2 out away.
I'm playing on All-Star and planned to up the difficulty to the next level, but It became too easy now on All-Star, I just can't get that no-no.
So eventually I decided to up the difficulty to the next level, and for a long time now, the no-no will be out of reach. Maybe next this time next year...Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
Just lost a no-no bid in the 8th. My RTTS pitcher was gassed, so I was on borrowed time. Hopefully my manager gets me out of here before I get tagged. We're up 8-0, no reason to keep me in, but unfortunately I don't think The Show agrees.
Yes, he sent me back out for the 9th after struggling through the 8th and losing the shutout. I have zero energy.Last edited by Qb; 12-28-2012, 12:04 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - No Hitter/Perfect Game Thread
Threw a perfect game with Felix Hernandez in 1st game of playoffs against the Blue Jays in my MLB The Show 12 season which I just finished recently.(played every game and also played minor league games) Felix Hernandez struggled all season with 10-14 record. I am using Seattle Mariners and decided I would use their cap space to load up on a few free agents(Lee, Tejada, Oswalt) and trade prospects for guys like Chapman, Rex Brothers, David Hernandez, Russel Martin, David Ross, Vinnie Pestano, Starling Marte, Casey Mcghee, Nick Punto which has resulted in an elite pitching and defensive team with average hitting but we snatched the wild card with 96-66 record.Comment
