This is a Reds franchise so I drafted him to take over for Rolen who is getting old as dirt lol
What round did you pick him in? Honestly, he has very little going for him, I suppose he could be a defensive specialist of sorts but you'd have to rush him to the major leagues before his defense regresses pretty bad. With the way he sounds I project him to be out of baseball within 3 years.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Just a quick question, does having them get a certain amount of at-bats at a level or doing "rehab" starts at a lower level after an injury really affect their progression? While it would be neat I just never noticed a difference of players progressing differently at different levels. Is this just the more sim/realistic way to do it or does it actually matter?

After the draft do you have to wait till next year for the players to be put on the minor league teams?

          Yes, you do.

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

It would be cool if they could Play on the single a te assuming they signed by a certain date

I don't see where you're getting this assessment from. His RATINGS are F's and D's not his POTENTIAL, which is an A. Also he's only 19 which gives him several seasons to progress. Am i missing something?

Also he was picked in the 2nd round.

Sorry, his you hadn't stated his potential and gave us a report that was very discouraging so really there was nothing to like honestly. However you cleared it up, so no worries. My mistake.

Oh ok cool. Actually a few posts before that i stated his A potential and Mark James then asked me to post his current ability, etc which is why i posted that.

F ratings usually aren't a good thing, man. Ever.

From what i've seen majority of draftees start out with F's and D's as current ratings.

I know, which is why I generally haven't seen to many great computer generated in my sims.

C_Bailey your guy should be OK, the three things that matter in regards to prospects are age, current overall, and potential. Since your guy is 19, he has 12 years to become an A and since he is an F overall, he should gain a good amount of points each year.

If you do manual training, I would focus on defense, arm, and power - three things you typically look for in a ML third baseman.

I'm just worried he'll be more defensive than anything. And defensive specialists who are an A always ask for way to much. Paying Aideny Hechavarria 14.5M.

Yeah his first year I had his training focusing on the things Mark James started in his plan. This year I made a couple of tweaks to hopefully start developing the defensive skills even more.
