Re: HDMI cable for the show
The cheaper ones wear down quicker, mainly the wiring. As for quality wise visually, there's no difference. You pay for what you get, with HDMI, it's how long you'll have it. If you're going to be taking your HDMI out often, I've found that my cheaper ones tend to break more. Either way, it's not worth more than 35$. Even though some places will tell you that a Monster has better quality, for PS3, it doesn't. The employees really aren't sucking you into anything, they're just doing their job, unless they say there's a difference. Personally, I wouldn't buy anything buy a Sony or Monster. Just because those are the two cables that have lasted the longest for me.Comment

Re: HDMI cable for the show
I have a Dynex (Best Buy store brand) that I got for $20. It's lasted being pulled out and put back into my PS3/TV every time I came home from college over that two year span, and there's no sign of it breaking or anything. I only bought that one because I needed it on the same day and didn't have time to wait for shipping. If you have a little time to wait, definitely get the cheapest you can either from monoprice or Amazon.Comment

Re: HDMI cable for the show
WHile almost 95 percent of the cables work just fine..one thing to know with the newer 120mhz and 200mhz model HDTV's are that some cheaper hdmi cables are not alawys compatible anymore..the minimum speed of the cable has to keep up with the higher refresh rates....some of the 4 dollar ones arent doin this on the 200 mhz newer models ....Comment

Re: HDMI cable for the show
Monster Cables may be pricey. But, monster provides life time warranties on all their product. Working in the cable industry, I do personally see more issues with cheaper HDMI cables then the others.PSN Name - xboxxerx
