    I just play games/series of interest and sim the ones I don't want to play

        This year I have set out to play every game of my first year Marlins Franchise.

        Then from year 2 on, I will play at least one game of every series. If I win the first game I play the second, if I win the second I look to play for the sweep. If I lose the first, I sim the second and am tied 1-1, I will then play the rubber match.

        I usually end up playing about 100 games with this method that also includes:

        I also always play division rival series in full. And if I am playing teams ahead of me in the wild card chase I play this series as well.

        I played 3 seasons with the Yankees on The Show 2009 doing this. Currently in year 2 of my 1987 Yankees franchise and 2011 Yankees franchise on The Show 2011 and year one of my Marlins franchise in The Show 2012.

        It all depends on you. I love this game and can play year round. When it comes to my baseball and basketball games (2K11) they are year round games for me and I have no timetable. Football games I can blow through in 6 months and get in at least 2-3 seasons.

            I thought about playing a franchise but instead of being 1 team, I thought about playing a "Game of the Day" season. I would look through the schedule and pick the game that I thought was the most interesting and play that game. Does anyone else play like this in their season?

                i pretty much play 2 games during the RL game is going on...that way by the time the all star break comes IRL, im basically done with 1 year already....

                    I have to play every game as well. I use Fast Play for road games and turn off some presentations at home to make it through. They REALLY need to add an option for generated counts next year. It would make getting through seasons so much more practical.
