Yes! I could see where they either expand each team to have an additonal uniform slot, or just remove one of the throwback slots, and call it "custom". You could then fill that custom slot for each team with a uniform from the uniform vault.

Or even better...all the uniform slots are editable.
So let's say you go into the team edit page. You select to edit the home uniform for the Mets for example:
You now have three options:
1. Keep the Mlb The Show default home uniform
2. Download a new home uniform for the vault
3. Create your own home uniform with the uniform creator

You could do this for each slot (home, away. alternate. etc.). This way you could run recreate a different season in franchise mode with the corresponding uniforms for each team.

I just want the DD uniform editor in the regular game....and the ability to import/use those uni's in season/franchise mode.

I would love that! I would make the 1956 Redlegs cut sleeves.

How about a number vault also.

Take number 7 from a team that didn't retire it and change the color to Navy Blue send it to the vault so we can download it and legally use it for Mickey Mantle.

oh yesssss. Would like if they can enhance the editor a bit as well. I understand they may not let us import any bitmap (legal issues) but at least being able to import one as a background layer so people can trace over it would facilitate the things a bit on some complex logos.

Right now it's impossible to do caps like the old braves or expos (not the logo but the color scheme). Stripes on shoulders is not possible as well so a few more features are welcomed.

I think the reason behind this (and if I'm wrong I would like to hear from the SCEA guys) is that when they do the throwbacks for franchise mode, it picks the same set for both teams. That way you don't get say the 90's Rangers vs. the 70's Twins. Another thing is that for the older teams, the second alternate doesn't have nameplates for any team. That would explain why the Rangers don't have NOBs for their 70's uniforms.



The thing is that the Nationals have gone out of their way to get rid of their Expos past. The old Senators jerseys don't really go to any team. The Twins and the Rangers both have established identities and their own history for unique uniforms. The only place they could go is in Washington. Furthermore, (and I might be fuzzy on my history but I believe myself to be correct) when the Expos moved to Washington the Rangers still owned the identity through tom hicks. I believe the rights to a lot of identity sets including the curly "W" were sold back to them back in the late 2000's.

But while the Nationals have distanced themselves from the old Expos they also retired the numbers of Dawson, Raines, Carter, and Staub, none of whom played for the Nationals. So they ought to gives us the freakin' unis to play with! Agreeing with your general point, just trying to point out them wanting it both ways.

It's part of the double edged sword. In all reality, the Expos are just dead. Sad, but the Nationals wanted ours and Minnesota's past, so that's what they got.

I've been away from The Show for a few years. Have they added Negro League uniforms for teams, or is there a chance they might this year? The Tigers really only one other home uniform in their entire history (script Tigers), and they used it for a single season. I'd like to see the Detroit Stars jersey get put in since that's really the only alternate they ever wear.

Looks like SCEA will be adding 30 new throwback uniforms into 13. From looking at the screen shots, the 1974 Braves have the wrong color socks and the batting helmet is missing the white panel (as the Baltimore Orioles did in 12).
