Re: CES MLB Show 13 Video: Yankees vs Blue Jays
The umpire seriously needs to stop adjusting his mask so much after every pitch!!
Hopfully Sony plans to add a lot more animations for both the umpire and catcher when between pitches and using pitcher camera view. The umpire and catcher seem do the same animation after every pitch. There needs to be more variety in there animations so it looks more life like and realistic.Last edited by tnixen; 01-09-2013, 09:21 PM.Comment

Re: CES MLB Show 13 Video: Yankees vs Blue Jays
Things I love about this screenshot.
1. The small series record under the starting pitcher match up for the next game.
2. The fact that you don't have to go sign somebody to see your team budget and how much of that budget you are using. Also, you will be able to see how much of your budget the entire staff is taking up.
3. The projected budget for next year.
4. The monthly budget changes. Bill DeWitt and other owners will increase the budget around the trade deadline in order to acquire a Matt Holliday type player to make that push, while small market or losing owners would want to sell players to save money for the future.Attached FilesLast edited by sydrogerdavid; 01-09-2013, 09:45 PM.Comment

Re: CES MLB Show 13 Video: Yankees vs Blue Jays
Any guesses to what the symbols mean in the franchise screenie? There's a barbell, DNA strand, bicep, bat hitting a ball, a hand with an L, and a glove...
My guesses:
Bicep - raw strength/ability
Barbell - work ethic/aptitude
DNA - bloodlines/projectability
Hand - ?
Glove - fielding abilityBakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Re: CES MLB Show 13 Video: Yankees vs Blue Jays
So far from both vids, I really like that the throws to 1st base have been right at him. In past games, I thought there were way too many throws that the 1st baseman had to really reach for. Not saying that this shouldn't happen, but it definitely needed to have more accurate throws to him. Good to see.

Hurray for turning off displays! I'm also intrigued by the "tool" section for scouting.Comment

Re: CES MLB Show 13 Video: Yankees vs Blue Jays
I hope there is a more realistic behind the pitcher camera angle. I forget what all of the options are from last year, but the default one they have been showing in videos is far too much to right.
Also, as this is an early copy of the demo, I'm hopeful that the walk ups have been changed, as in this video EVERY BATTER does the exact same identical pre-at bat walk up animation with the little bat twirl.
We've had numerous custom player walk ups for years...wouldn't make any sense to give somebody like Derek Jeter a generic walk up animation now.Comment

Re: CES MLB Show 13 Video: Yankees vs Blue Jays
Unless it's the camera angle, it seems that pitchers do not stand straight up on the rubber anymore. Also, boy oh boy is it nice to see those fouled off pitches not go to the upper decks. AND A-Rod has glasses on at the dish. This game is tits...Last edited by wisdom less13; 01-09-2013, 09:59 PM.METS. NY FOOTBALL GIANTS. PENGUINS. HURRICANE FOOTBALL. LEBRON.

I am crossing my fingers that MLB 13 The Show's little box with the "Pitch Type", "Ball Placment" "Swing Info" has the "Pitch Count" just like the TBS box in your screenshotAttached FilesLast edited by tnixen; 01-09-2013, 10:09 PM.Comment
