Did they get a new deal with MLB to do this? How could they add a player in if he hasn't played an MLB game yet?

Sorry just curious as this is a new mode and new way of doing roster updates.

Seeing the videos from last year and such, I used to have this impression that Nick@SCEA was a shy guy... I don't know about shyness (he's a young guy so I guess he doesn't have a seniority) but I was more impressed by how keen and thoughtful his observations were about the own game he's designing. One of those guys that instill confidence that the game is indeed in good hands...

Because of the Astros going to the AL, every day will feature at least one Inter-League game.
PLUS the first screens you see of the Live Schedule @0:48, are actually from 2012.

Boo, I was hoping you could play along with the season and use the same exact starting lineup for your team on that day. Then you could compare your stats/record with what happened in real life.

Oh well I guess I''l just stick to doing a season.

That's pretty much what I was saying, just didn't articulate it very well.

No..they can't....the players called up that are not on the roster update previous will not be there until the next game(or whenever they get approved)

Wow!!! TSL is much more than I expected. Really excited to play TSL along with the improved franchise mode. Just think, this is the first year for this mode and we all know it will only improve in the years to come.

Ok, just want to get this clear. So if a player is called up and not on the latest roster update he won't be in The Show Live until he is approved to be added?

So how would the game handle a situation like for instance last year when Chris Rusin was called up, I think his contract was selected August 21 and he started the same day which was his debut. So they could not have a player in a case like this in TSL?

I think if there is a player in a real game that has not been approved to be in MLBTS yet, he will be replaced by a generic SCEA CAP.

I have some questions and a theory how this thing works:

                          My theory:

Every player in the game has an ID number. This number is the same in MLB.tv and in MLB 13 The Show database. Let's say, no. #213 is Dustin Pedroia, and no. #143 is Jacoby Ellsbury.

Before a game starts, every team has to submit the lineup, containing the Starting Pitcher, the lineup, and the bullpen. All of the 25 players who are in that game. After things are set in stone, an info comes from MLB.tv that Boston has the following lineup:

                          1. #143
                          2. #213
                          ect...

This mode does not have rosters, instead a big pool of players who are assigned to teams, when teams submit lineups for games. This mode does not need rosters, because teams only need 25 players assigned to them before the first pitch.

                          My questions:

What happens if I would like to play a game before the lineup is submitted to MLB.tv? Does this mean, that every team has a 25 man roster before every game, that is up to date with mlb's data?

What happens when a player is called up from the minors (who has never played in the majors before) 2-3 hours before gametime? Does this mean that every player who is close to (let's say every AAA player) are created in the game (of course without the licensing issues) and are waiting to be called up?

                          Thanks in advance!
                          Anybody can answer?

Will career milestones be in this mode?

Let's say Albert Pujols get's his 500th homerun, will it come up in this mode?

What I assumed. Might be weird if you see some random generated player on a team in TSL though. Or do you think they might be able to at least use their names?

Yes. This most likely will be the case.
They cannot use their name nor their likeness.
Cant even use their number. (I dont think)
