Now that is great! For some reason I thought they didn't have commentary last year in MoM, so this is great news, and thanks for the info.
I must admit this is the most exciting year for me and The Show. I see myself playing two franchises, regular and MoM.
Bring on that download!!!

I am enjoying the "Dugout" view in my MLB 13 MoM games. But in the half dozen "Spring Training" games I have been involved in using this view (pretty much an even mix of home and away games), so far I have only been in the dugout on the 3rd base line. Does this "Dugout" view also exist on the 1st base line?Comment

Woot woot ... looks like I can answer my own question. I just started a new Spring Training MoM game and there I am in the dugout along the 1st base line.

The CPU does not take control anymore. You can only select MoM before a season or franchise game. Not available in exhibition or postseason mode. Hopefully they can rectify that in the future. I think there are a lot of people that play this way but they are not exactly a vocal group.Comment

Yeah I am in a Season playing MoM. If I am not mistaken in MLB12, MoM was only available in Franchise mode. But this year they also opened it up to Season mode? The dugout camera views are in interesting place to watch the action, though I often lose the ball in the sky on pop ups using this view. Of course I am not fielding the balls, so no biggie if I lose the ball.
Looks like it is going to be a long painful Season for me managing the Rockies. Unlike last year when I cheated and added a number of top notch pitchers to the squad, this season I decided to stay with the actual Rockies players and I am 1-5 in Spring Training so far. My offense isn't too bad but my pitching staff plus a number of bad timing fielding errors have let me down on more than one occasion (just like the real Rockies I guess). Funny thing is, despite the losses, I am looking forward to the next game.Last edited by My993C2; 03-12-2013, 08:25 PM.Comment

For next year, are there any other in-game fixes or basic improvements you want to see to Manage Only Mode?
In my notes, these were fixed by request for the full release of the game:
* MoM hitters will not bunt without your request.
* MoM hitters will not hit and run without your request.
* MoM pitchers will not IBB without your request.
* Fix for MoM, opposing team will pickoff properly against your baserunnersComment

One of the things I would like to see a little different is how the defense is aligned for every at bat. It appears that if you never change your defensive alignment, the game will recommend a defense for you (which is good). As an example if there is a base runner on 1st and you don't manually change the alignment of the infielders or outfielders, then the game will put the 1st baseman on the bag to help hold the runner. Likewise if the next batter also reaches base so you have men on 1st and 2nd, the 1st baseman reverts back to his normal alignment. However if you make any sort of defensive alignment change at any point in the game, it appears that we lose this auto recommend feature as the game uses the current alignment for the rest of the game. So we do lose a little time fidgeting around the defensive alignment screen for every batter after our first change. It would be cool if the game recommended an alignment for every at bat and then of course we could override it if we wanted.
Now it is possible I am doing something wrong. I will pay closer attention to it on my next game. Plus if I think of more things I will let you know.Last edited by My993C2; 03-12-2013, 08:45 PM.Comment

The option to select the pitch and location(like calling the game from the dugout....)
It could use the L-Stick for the 9 zones and the X/O/Triangle/Square/R shoulder buttons for the individual pitches.
If this was a pre-game option....SUPERB
Also...the ability to queue up a pinch hitter(like you can for a RP) instead of having to wait for the batter to be at the plate and then choosing pinch hitter...
...and....the dream.....TWO PLAYER Manage only Mode(head to head) and the ability to play Manage only Mode ONLINE!
