At this point I could care less who they got as a replacement. I am just happy some of the dialogue will be new because it is new, even if he says the same things I wouldn't mind. Last year I turned the announcers off after a while, once I started to hear the "new" stuff added to 12 repeat a lot.

If they get someone new to do paly-by-play I'd also be happy. I don't care if its Buck or anyone else, as long as its a NEW person.

So long as you keep getting the game every year, there's no way you can keep feeling fresh every year....

When you go back to MLB 10 now, you actually find commentary is refreshing because Hudler is suddenly not that same guy who repeats the same line over and over... ... and this is really the reason why the staleness of commentary cannot be avoided entirely, if the dev team were to use the past recordings (to keep adding variety) while adding new ones.

Ya, all the new comments are mostly them talking about teams and players and how they did the previous season. But everything else is pretty much the same which is why it feels so stale.

For MLB 14 and the PS-4, I bet that the commentary and statistics will receive the ATTENTION THAT IS NEEDED.

MLB 13 will be the greatest Simulation Sports game ever made.

I agree. I have heard that they have pretty much maxed out the memory on ps3. I also wonder if paying the announcers for all of the hours of recording it would take to make the commentary more dynamic s a factor. Since I don't play other sports games I don't have any point of comparison. I just continue to be amazed at all the work and responsiveness to our concerns that went into Show13.

If its storage space you are talking about they have not maxed out the bluray at all. I'm unsure if system memory is a limitation to overhauling the commentary, doesn't seem like it would stop them from replacing the old with new. Overhauling the commentary to me means removing a substantial chunk of the old audio, all of it if they replace Vasgersian, and put a lot of new audio in its place. To me that does not take a PS4 at all. It would cost a lot to do though.

Biased opinion.. But they are the best in the business. Unlike most team specific commentary announcers... They are not anti the opposite team.. Which makes it that much better.

I think they should do a full ASB'05 commentary reunion in MLB 14 with Thom Brennaman, Steve Lyons & Bob Brenly

I think Thom Brennaman should be the first choice for play by play if Vasgersian is replaced

Maybe Michael Kay and his scary biased for the Yankees and hatred for all opposing teams?? I love how we makes countless excuses for the Yankees.. While bashing other teams. I'm joking obviously.. But Yankees fans know that what I said is true

Does anyone else believe that MLB 2k13 should have Tim McCarver as one of their commentating crew. I mean it would be ideal to have someone that represents the overall dedication to this game, which in this case is minimal. Bad commentator for a visually bad game...

Am I the only one that would also like to have Joe Morgan and Jon Miller commentating MLB 13. Or have like a game a week where you would get to hear them like it used to be on Sunday night baseball.

2k series used to have them when the game wasn't so terrible.

Yea, his "see ya" is almost as bad as Hawk Harrelson's "you can put it on the boards, yess"... almost...

I find that the best solution at this point (since we all could finish Matty V's lines) is just turning the announcer volume all the way down - and keeping the crowd and field volume. Pure baseball.

Have you heard the man in the playoffs the last couple years? How about the dramatic Nelson Cruz HR that he called like he was drowsy and didn't care?

I used to be a huge fan of Buck and FOX Baseball games, now I'm less interested because of his lack of emotion. Let him go do football.
I know wht you mean. He calls the game for the hot team in the series. He is suppose to be a devout cardinal. And it sounded that way when we played the rangers in 2011. When we started slipping against the Giants in 2012 he changed sides and called the ship like a long time giant fan. Get bent Joe. We love you jack
I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.

Not really sure what I'm talking about! I have just heard frequent references to the ps3 memory being "maxed out". Maybe it is system memory they are referring to. Still, you make a good point about not adding to the memory but rather replacing a chunk of it. Here again, maybe the cost would be prohibitive.
