Okay, I've just had a MAJOR bug pop up in my game. I'll have a video on YouTube soon, but I can't post in the bugs thread until March 5th.

EDIT: Here it is - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V8xS...ature=youtu.be

This game is simply amazing, the feeling at the plate is just insane. It is light years ahead of last year's version. This team really really cares for us the customers. You got to play it before judging, I have read a lot of people say "it looks the same" well is not.

The visual, presentation, ball physics, the organic feel of fielding and hitting is just the best I have ever seen. In just the first inning I have seen over 15 new animations of my current game Dodgers at Giants (me).

I will just add that the player models are out of this earth, Brandon Crawford model being my favorite. I can't thank enough all of the OS members who have contributed to the game as well as Sony San Diego Studios.

I have hit 4 solo shots in a game now down 5-4 playing on HoF so hitting like I said earlier is easier

I had to crank the pitching speed up. I find the hitting harder cuz I'm so use to last year.

Finally scored my Vita copy a couple hours ago.

I had never played the Vita in my life up until purchasing it today and getting in some time with The Show. That being said, I can't compare this year's version to last year's. But, I am blown away with the graphics and how smooth the game plays.

The default pitching speed seems slower than previous years. I would usually have to drop the slider 2-3 notches. But this year it seems perfect for my skill level. I can actually pull the ball and recognize balls and strikes much quicker. I still had a hard time catching up to Verlander's heat, but I was at least able to have better AB's than I did in the past.

I also did a quick fantasy draft and I had pick 11. I was able to get both Trout and Harper, which was kind of cool yet also a bit disappointing.

I am going to go and put more time in now, but just wanted to let you Vita owners know that this game is great. You will not be disappointed and it's worth the wait.

So kudos to SCEA for getting rid of the "ants" in pulse pitching. Although, I noticed the catchers mitt (for those like me who let the CPU call the game) is much much larger than I remember it being last year. Not really a fan of it.

I'm really surprised at how well I am playing on default AllStar seeing as I've been on Veteran the last 2 yrs

Just hit a 432 jack to straight away CF with M.Kemp vs the Yankees off Pettitte. I mean it was a blast. Yes I'm one hyped MOFO!!!

This is by far the best game sports wise that has ever been made period

EA needs to give the slogan "If its in the game it's in the game" to SCEA. Because at least it would be the truth then

What fielding camera does everyone use?

Re: MLB 13 The Show Impressions Thread

These are my initial (long) impression after two games:

Hit variety and ball physics look to be much improved. I'm seeing better iterations of bloops, line-drives, fly/popup than in years past. The ball physics, something I wasn't anticipating noticing a huge difference, is vastly improved over prior years.

The top pitchers (faced Matt Cain and Chris Sale so far) paint the corners more than I remember in prior years. It's really nice to see - I enjoy taking a 1-0 strike on the corner. Sale carved me up to the tune of 12Ks in 6 innings (I was playing as the Royals and use Pure Analog swing mechanic).

CPU hitters are chasing more and swinging and missing more. I've also seen them take strike 3 when setting them up. In the same game that Sale blew me away, I stuck out 8 in 6 inning with James Shields.

Nice to see pitchers with more 'accurate' repertoire.

Enjoying the depth of outfielders this year. My initial observation is that fielders are slower to react than last year. For example, if I hit a double in the gap in '12, the CPU would attempt a throw to 2B with the first basemen covering. The doubles I've hit this year (3, all gap hits), I haven't seen an attempt to relay to the first basemen covering. Granted, only 3 doubles, but they appeared similar to last year doubles.

I'm a fast-play player and I wish there was version of broadcast without the cut scenes between pitches/plays. I enjoy watching the batter trot around the bases on a HR and after the game scenes, but do not enjoy replays or cut-scenes throughout the game. I'd rather get through my game quicker by opting for FP than button pressing through the replays/scenes.

This is another step up in a great series. I really appreciate that SD Studios fines tunes this game every year and give us little pieces of bacon (new RTtS view, etc) along the way. The game looks and plays better than last year. Nothing revolutionary, but I don't want revolutionary. I want a better game than '12 and I think, from limited time with the game, '13 delivers.
