I am having trouble with contracts in franchise mode. After the first year, almost every player is a free agent, even though they shouldnt be.

Then, while it says I can offer then 80% of their contract and they will re-sign, it doesnt happen. I had to give Jesus Montero 3/16 to get him back. Similar with Ackley, Seager, etc.

How do I deal with this? I am running out of money because young guys are making tons when they should be cheap

You need to offer all the young guys a contract. .. low ball them. If they don't accept then you can renew them the last day of offseason.

I haven't been here in a while, but have they fixed or changed up the Spring Training progression/regression mix up?

The double progression/regression was fixed in the 1.18 patch. But now you get no progression/regression in Spring Training. No word if its going to be fixed.

Yeah I doubt it as well. It's small bumps in spring training, plus there's a work around.

I can't find a way to see my current pitchers energy when I'm at bat. For example, it may be the sixth or seventh inning and I get to the pitchers spot in the batting order. I want to see how tired he is before I decide to pinch hit or not. Any ideas?

How do I close the guide tutorial the first time I start the game? I've gone all the way through the tips to the last page but I see nothing to exit out of it and start the actual game!

I know this is prob. A dumb question but I still can't figure out how to throw to 1st or second if your the pitcher? Like if I think the runner will try to steal how do I throw from the pitcher to say 1st, 2nd or 3rd

L2 and the base(triangle...circle...square...X)
The casual move is L2 and tap
The quick move is L2 and double tap
The deceptive move is L2 and hold the button

Also....there is a menu option called GAME CONTROLS....that lays out every move in the game.
It's on the front end of the menus.

Also, the button base layout changes depending on what perspective(pitcher/catcher cam) you are pitching from.

Does anyone feel a change with fielding? I swear cpu reacts dope but i feel a bit in quick sand or something. Can never make a diving stop in the infield. Last years i was a beast.

On players getting tired playing multiple games in a row, How fatigued(the green bar) do players need to be before it affects them ? and what does it affect, do you see there ratings drop or is it hidden.

Does playing a player as a DH affect him as much as being in the field.

On pitching, if i have a 6 or 7th rated SP that's better than most of my RP should i put him in the RP rotation or leave him in the minors. notice a lot of teams carry 6 SP in there 25.

Put the 6th SP into the Long Relief spot. This makes sure the team has someone who can step in if a SP goes down all of the sudden or a SP does bad early.
