I was playing a spring training game at the Polo grounds and Jaso hit 3 triples in the game, Lyons or Karros, one of them mentioned that it had only been done twice in the last 20 years. Span in 2010 and Furcal in 2002.

The biggest little thing for me was completely unexpected and I'm sure I'm not the only OS guy to have this happen but for such a small thing it completely made my night...

Yes, they actually added my full name to the audio commentary for this years game. I had skipped last years game since I was so busy with work and completely forgot that I had even posted anything regarding adding my name to the RTTS player list. Low and behold, when I went to go create my usual player, I noticed they actually had my real first name this year. Shocked by this, I thought no way they have my last name, but as I scrolled down, there it was.

Truly a really cool experience playing tonight as my RTTS player named as myself and actually starting out my first 3 series on All-Star playing quite well for the first time ever. Normally I toil in the minors and end up giving up giving up on RTTS but I'm having a blast with my player and taking the opportunity to watch the game as it unfolds is an awesome addition.

The first of many little things to come I'm sure and just reinforces my feeling that the SCEA San Diego team is without a doubt one of the best group of developers the industry currently has.

One of the little things I noticed was the rating of two players. Dan Uggla and Freddie Freeman are both rated an 82 overall. I can't wait to see how this changes after a season or two with the new progression (or in Uggla's case regression) system.

I had played a few games and still had not seen a bloop hit. Then, it happened.

Cardinals @ Giants. Forgot who the hitter was (it was a Cardinal) but he hit a little flare (not quite a pop up but still high enough where I thought the Giants' second baseman would get under it) into shallow right center field. The CF, RF and 2B all converge on it, ultimately the 2B reached out his glove in an attempt to make the catch and the ball literally missed his glove by centimeters, landing in between the three fielders. It was a thing of beauty.

I hope plays like this occur somewhat regularly (as in, in a realistic manner) and don't just happen once in a blue moon because it really was a sight to behold.

in RTTS in AA I notice all the other players have various shoe colors... Last year most of them were just black...

I wanted this added for a little touch. It's cool to see

the "K's" on the wall in right field in AT&T Park have returned. they are not the right colors, but at least they are there and function correctly =)

OMG my first inning in spring training against the dodgers, Paulie Konerko grounds out to first, and they say "shades of another dodger first baseman we all remember". I thought omg! They're talking about Konerko!!!!!! Unless Eric Karros does the commentary....

I apologize if this has been in previous versions of The Show, but I did an RTTS Pitcher in MLB 12 and never saw this... They showed video of me signing autographs before the game - I was going to make my MLB debut with Cleveland, and so they did a prospect spotlight on me as part of the pregame - I just thought it was a really nice touch to throw in the autograph thing, just to add to the realism. Hopefully they'll show that again when I'm more of a "star" and people would actually want my autograph, as opposed to some no-name rookie lol.

i get what you're saying but this thread is short and there's already 3 mentions about the silent treatment after a HR in RTTS, which has been in for a while now. i'd love to see what's new just for this year.

I know what you're saying, but this game is so huge that sometimes you can go a whole year without seeing a particular cutscene or situation.

For example, I noticed that someone posted in the impressions thread about the hidden ball trick cutscene. Now I saw this either in 08 or 09, but have only seen it once since. Just because it's been in the game a long time doesn't mean someone else can't come in here and tell everyone how awesome it is.
