I am as far as cut scenes (minor) as well as menu music skipping at times (minor as well). I have no trouble at this time with pitch stuttering.

I had one pitch stutter. That was my very first warmup pitch and knock on wood ot has been good. I have had some minor cut menu stutter. Old 40gb fat ps3.

I respect your right to have your own opinion, but I just feel there has to be something on the gamers end since it's not happening to everyone. Why is it happening to you and not me? What am I doing differently than you? What is going on different inside my PS3 or my TV than yours to make mine run flawlessly and yours and so many others run with a stutter?

Some people have hundreds of GB of data saved on their PS3. Some people have crappy TV's. Some people have mediocre TV's. Some people have mediocre or good TV's that are not on the optimal settings for a PS3......there are too many variables.

.....and this is why it more than likely will not be fixed. How can they ever begin to think about how to fix a problem that is not consistent?

I really don't see how this could be the case, considering I have a good tv , a relatively new slim PS3, have both gamemode on to eliminate any post-processing effects and have the game running at 720p, and have barely any data saved on my PS3 since I don't play it very often.

I also have played games with Guess Pitch Off, Tutorials off, and while disconnected from the internet and I am still seeing pitch stutters at times. It is very random for me, I have had some games with no stutters, and some where stutters happen on consecutive pitches during at bats. Maybe it's tied to stadiums or pitchers deliveries like others have speculated, but from I have experienced there really hasn't been any rhyme or reason to it.

So basically I am playing on the same tv, with the same exact settings, on the same PS3 as last year's game, and did not see one stutter in MLB 12. The only variable that has changed for me from last year is the game itself.

Just because some haven't seen it doesn't mean it is something on the user's end. I have played plenty of other games where people reported glitches, that were indeed caused by the game, but I personally haven't run into those glitches. Doesn't mean I would try and claim those glitches weren't ultimately an issue with the games in those cases though.

Like I said though, I am using the same exact set up as last year, the only variable that has changed is the game itself. I have not changed any variables on my end.

As far as deleting 12 data, I have seen others in the thread saying they did that, and reporting that it didn't help. I'll give it a try, though.

I can live with stuttering on the menu and during cutscenes, the pitch stuttering definatly needs to be fixed though.

And we are trying to help you find a solution to the problem.
If you dont want to try it. its up to you, but The Show is a memory hog and the PS3 can barely handle it as it is.
The more things you have that take up data on your PS3 the more it will struggle with The Show.

It is definitely a user issue.
If it were a game issue, EVERYONE would be reporting it.

Want to try reading my first post again, my PS3 barely has any data on it since it is only a year old, and I barely use it. I also said I have tried alot of the things suggested by people.

Also have you played any other games? There are plenty of glitches I have seen in other games that are not uniform in terms of everybody seeing them, and they still end being an issue on the game side of things. Glitches can be random, they are not always an all or nothing type of thing where everybody runs into the issue.

In other words, stop getting so defensive of the game when there is a legimate issue that needs resolved. The Show is a great game, doesn't mean every issue is a user issue though.

I'll give SCEA the benefit of the doubt, based on their track record, and assume this is probally fixed by opening day.

But that's just not true. Was everyone reporting franchise freezes last year? Corrupted Box scores? No. Yet that was 100% a Game issue. Just because there are variables in play doesn't make it any less of a software flaw.

We need to get out of this 1990's mindset that software is one-dimensional and that everyone gets completely identical results, regardless of the situation.

So i see there's a post about a 1.1 patch..has anyone seen the stuttering without the patch installed? Like i mentioned, i've been fine so far but my ps3 hasn't been connected to the internet since before i popped the game in. Maybe try deleting the game data and playing without any patches installed and no internet connection?

And really, the question of game issue vs user issue is more semantics than anything at this point. I don't see how anyone can claim this is a "user" issue when the only thing that users have any control over is popping the game in and playing. The issue is with the game itself, it just isn't manifesting itself in everyone's operating environment for one reason or another, but at the end of the day the issue is with the game itself and how it is reacting in different environments. To me, a "user" issue is something like willingly abusing the trade logic (and complaining about being able to do so) or something else along those lines. But anyway, there's no point in fighting over where the problem lies.

That may be a bit drastic. I believe that SCEA, based on their track record, will probally find a solution before opening day.

Also keep in mind it is very random in nature, so who knows, you may be not even experience it.

His loss really but I do agree that it is pretty extreme to go return a game for something that is likely to be fixed with patch.. This is probably the most random bug, you either have it, have very little or have none whatsoever, so it seems like luck of the draw.

I agree. I'm sure it'll get fixed (it better) because good God that would be annoying as heck to deal with.
