Re: MLB The Show 13 Stuttering Thread
I had that last year with MLB The Show 12. I don't have it this year with MLB The Show 13. The only changes are I replaced the stock hdd with an Intel SSD and have not changed pitch speed.Yeah, the one that you describe doesn't bother me enough to really affect my experience. The one like what I posted a long time back in this thread.....that's different. There are indeed two levels of this stutter.
This is the worse one, that's extremely noticeable and detracts from my gameplay experience for obvious reasons:

Re: MLB The Show 13 Stuttering Thread
So when do you think the DEVs will stand up, and tell us when they are going to fix this obvious error on their side? 600+ posts about this, and all we got that it is under investigation...
Make no mistake, we, the customers should not:
- play offline
- change our HDDs
- search for fixes by disabling some of the game's features
We have bought the game for 60 dollars, and we can't play it right now. I know, it's been out for only 6 days now, but at least tell us, when you are going to patch it. It's so frustrating to load up the game every two hours, only to shut off my ps3 after 10 minutes of play. If it takes 1 month, I don't care, just tell me how long I have to wait...Comment

Re: MLB The Show 13 Stuttering Thread
Probably when they actually have some info on it that they can tell us...I mean, look at all the different experiences and occurrences we're having with this bug, it's going to take some time to test to figure out the cause (and hopefully they can figure it out).So when do you think the DEVs will stand up, and tell us when they are going to fix this obvious error on their side? 600+ posts about this, and all we got that it is under investigation...

They will as soon as they KNOW they have a fix.

Re: MLB The Show 13 Stuttering Thread
It's called ignorance on how software is developed and an unbridled sense of entitlement. We've got both here at OS in spades.
Bottom line is, when they know what's up with a fix and have an idea when it will be fixed they'll let us know. Same as it's been since the games inception. Not sure why this is such a hard concept for some folks to grasp.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 13 Stuttering Thread
LoL a sense of entitlement? We pay $60 bucks and some pay $130 but who's counting. I don't think it's ignorant at all, the man wants to know wassup with news about this stuttering problem we are all experiencing. Anytime people pay for something and it doesn't properly work there needs to be some explaining. It's pretty obvious when they know something hopefully they'll share it with us but if ramone has time to talk about terry Francona not being in the game this year then he can say something about this issue, thank you and god bless. It's called ignorance on how software is developed and an unbridled sense of entitlement. What does talking about Terry Francona have to do with talking about this.LoL a sense of entitlement? We pay $60 bucks and some pay $130 but who's counting. And yes, it's a ignorance of what goes in to software/game development, that's obvious. And yes it's a sense of entitlement. People like that have gone a long way to wreck the Show community here at OS, and it's gotten old.
Again, I am not sure how difficult it is to get, they always tell us what's up once they know, why demand it right now? That's not how it works. I with people like that would go back to IGN.Comment

Don't agree with you, your always so mad. It's just a forum, I don't see the show community being wrecked, it looks as strong as ever. I would like to hear something about the stuttering issue because the game is very hard to play so I would think info would be coming forward soon, I payed $60 dollars but I'm not demanding anything. You should chill, I don't think you work for SCEA and I didn't see anybody take a poop in ur cereal.Comment

While the pillars of the community are still here for the most part keeping up their excellent work that doesn't mean the forum can't trend downwards overall with more people.badComment

Re: MLB The Show 13 Stuttering Thread
Bud we understand and SCEA understand that this is a frustrating issue, they cannot give you any clues to why this happening if they don't know why. Game development (especially on the PS3) is not easy as many devs have noted in the past. You can keep bringing up that you paid $60, does not change the fact they did not see the issue in house and were not aware of it till it released. You sound pretty demanding in your previous post to be completely honest and I do agree with him that the entitlement is very wide spread. Put into perspective, you pay 60, SCEA spends thousands on development.Don't agree with you, your always so mad. It is what it is, people like that, are definitely making this forum less of a community than it was, and more of what IGN has become.
Not sure what working for SCEA has to do with anything
Steve_OS wanted to grow the forum for obvious reasons, we're just paying the price for the increase in popularity.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 13 Stuttering Thread
Here's the thing, whether he paid 60 dollars or not, doesn't matter. The Dev Team probably doesn't as of yet have a handle on the root cause. Nor do they have any kind of time frame for an update to be released. Paying 60 dollars for a game, isn't going to change that.Bud we understand and SCEA understand that this is a frustrating issue, they cannot give you any clues to why this happening if they don't know why. If 60 dollars is that big of an issue, return the game.Comment
