I actually have learned how to hit with the stutter. This game is an absolute joke!

Of course it's the game. Why do all the other sports titles from the different companies run smoothly?

Have you heard of return policies from where you purchased your copy? You should've known this if you'd be complaining like this.

First I must admit that I have not read all 87(!) pages of this thread as I have had minimal intermittent issues with the stuttering (just like last year). So if anyone else has mentioned this, I apologize in advance. However, I recently started seeing this stutter more often. Now it "seemed" to coincide with another change I recently made--using a custom batting camera. I will be the first to admit I do not have a large enough set of data to determine if this is a "causal" factor or just a "coincidental" factor. I did try going back and forth in three recent games between my custom camera and the stock cameras. The stutter did not completely disappear when I used the stock cameras, but it seemed to happen much less frequently in that small sample set. I'm going to continue to test this working theory, but just wanted to mention this to the community to see if anyone else has mentioned this or to see if any others want to try it. I know to expect a bunch of people to comment on how they use stock cameras and still have the stutter or from those that don't have stutter and do use custom cameras. I'll live with their arguing, just trying to share one possibility.

Just played two games with the stock Wide Cam and no stutters at all. So who knows.

I wouldn't mind if it froze for half a second, but this freezing for 5 seconds 2-3 times every game is quite frustrating. Thankfully only once has it happened with a ball in play, the other times it was while picking pitches or a cut scene. But I'm sure that if this frequency keeps up, it will hit me hard at some point.

Mine freezes a half a second before the pitcher releases the ball, so its hard to time a hit.

Just started seeing the stutter for the first time, playing in my nationals franchise about 25-30 games in. Been playing 1, simming 5 and havent seen the stutter at all in these games or any of the exhibition games i've played (probably around 10 or so). All of a sudden (with no changes at all, ps3 is still offline, same tv, no new games installed, etc) i've seen the stutter happen while cpu is pitching in the 2nd or 3rd inning of my last two games. A full 1-2 second freeze right as the ball is leaving the pitchers hand. Happened twice in the same at bat against Tim Hudson in Atl, and once against Doug Fister at home vs the Tigers. Hoping this isn't the start of a trend where it's going to happen every game now.
