Just wondering, is there a thread that explains what each one of the attributes do in RTTS?

I only ask because I was wondering if I should put any points into the batting cages.. or just my contact and stuff..

Sorry for the double post, but I just gotta tell this..

After going straight to the majors from my first year in AA, my 6'1, 200lbs 1B switch hitter is playing for the Texas Rangers.

On September 19, 2014, down 3-2 to the Houston Astros; in extra innings, I'm up to bat with 2 outs. The pitcher threw a fastball that I made late contact and ended up knocking a potential home run foul..

His next pitch was a 4SFB right down the middle. Blasted that right back up the middle for a 2 run walk off home run for the win.

The supreme excitement that came from that has got me ready for more!

1st season in RTTS done. My AA team dominated regular season, but then sucked in playoffs.

Jays,Angels,Red Sox,Tigers made playoffs in AL
        Cards,Braves,Nats,Dodgers made playoffs in NL

Tigers beat Braves 4-1 in WS

For RTTS, there should be an option in contract negotiation as to what position you'll be playing.

EX-AA rotation, AAA rotation, MLB rotation, MLB bullpen and so on. Cause of a team offers you a deal for AAA rotation and you wanna counter, you should get option to counter with MLB rotation or something. I'd rather 150k in MLB than 200k in AAA

So is there a free agency glitch? I was excited for free agency, and in my contract year with the Nats I hit .343 with 65 HR and 194 RBI. I'm a 99 overall and none of my attributes are below 82 at 25 years old. I get... DRUMROLL

            0 CONTRACT OFFERS

I ended up signing a new 1 year deal with the Nats for $20 mil. I remember from MLB 12 that you don't get flooded with offers but at least last year I would get 4-5 every time I hit the market. Seriously? 0?

            Anyone else?
            San Francisco 49ers
            Golden State Warriors
            San Francisco Giants
            San Jose Sharks

Are you sure it was your 6th year of major league service time and not your 6th year in the organization? There should be something on your player card that tells you how long you have been in the majors, after 6 years you are eligible for free agency.

Only got this yesterday, having never played a baseball game in my life. I can safely say RTTS is the most addictive game mode I've ever come across on a sports game.

I think people are getting confused between 6 years and 6 years of MLB service. The former doesn't mean jack while the latter means you are eligible for FA when your contract is up. Easiest way to figure this out is go to your player card, under AGE is MLB SERVICE: xxx years. When this reaches 6.0 years you win a prize, and that prize is FA eligibility.

Yes, I had 6 years of MLB service. I even got a message from my agent in the middle of the season saying something along the lines of "You're eligible for free agency this year. You should test the market" or something like that.

Damn, well that sucks. But at least I guess I can go wherever I want then when I get to that point.
