I can't stand the outfield camera. I miss so many fly balls. I am considering restarting and going to first base.

Hold the R3 stick/button when the ball is hit. It will give you a better camera angle.

there's no better feeling than hitting a homerun on legend difficulty with zone plus analog hitting

Playing MLB 12 rtts because frankly, I like last years rtts better, and I'm in 2015, playing every game up to this point, but I found something quite annoying. I finished last year as the starting SS on the MLB roster, and now starting this year I am the 17th best overall SS in the league and best on the team, yet I'm rotting away on the bench. Oh well, I'll get it back soon enough with Brigniac hitting under .200.

That may have something to do with your fielding rating. I think the depth chart AI takes that into consideration just as much as it does your overall and hitting ratings. Once my guy had better fielding ratings than the guy ahead of me, I got put into the lineup more.

Yeah I figured it had something to do with that. Doesn't matter now though as I got promoted after 1 advancement period. Too bad I'm hitting .200.

In RTTS, my first AA game, I hit a Home Run my first at bat and first pitch. Second season I moved up to AAA, and I just hit a homerun my first pitch.

I only hit like 10 HR's in AA, so it was awesome.

The outfield fielding cam is a chore. Just can't quite get a feel. Maybe if I take off the ball trail thing.

The game still calls me up just before the AA All-Star game. I never find myself not needing those 250 points, so I still have to purposefully fail goals leading up to the game so I can make it in.

Is it just me or do pitches move quicker in RTTS compared to other games modes. In franchise for example I seem to always have more time to read and react to pitches than I do in RTTS. I play both on veteran hitting difficulty with unadjusted sliders.

@Eman - Hit the R3 button/stick when the ball is hit. It will give you a view where you can see the ball.

@Lewis Cavs - From what I've read. RTTS alters the difficulty for each level you are on (AA/AAA/MLB).
If you are playing on Veteran:
                      AA - Rookie
                      AAA - Veteran
                      MLB - All-Star

Each level of difficulty has differences in pitch speed. The harder the difficulty, the higher the default pitch speed.

It's been 4 years since I first got called up to the big leagues with the Rockies. I'm starting at 2B, just won my 2nd Gold Glove, and also got voted into the All-Star Game for the 1st time this season.

I'm currently in the playoffs. Here is a recap of my previous playoff success.

1st Season - Lost in NLDS
2nd Season - Lost in NLDS
3rd Season - Lost in NLCS
4th (and current) Season - Up 3-2 in NLCS against the Mets. A's and Royals are tied 3-3 to decide who will represent the AL in the World Series.

I really hope we can win it all this year. Tulo has regressed to a 75 OVR, splitting time with Josh Rutledge at SS. CarGo has regressed to an 84 OVR. I want to win one before either one of those guys retire.

If it wasn't for a 95 OVR Nolan Arenado, a Silver Slugger winner at catcher with William Swanner, and a Cy Young winner with Tyler Chatwood the Rockies would be toast.
I had a solid season (.332, 2 HR, 89 RBI, 80 SB) but as you can see, I tried to shape my guy into speedy, hit for average type guy. So I can't win games on my own.

Hopefully we can close out the Mets because this could be my last chance at a championship and I want to send Tulo and CarGo out with a World Series ring.

I've kind of lost intrest in RTTS after they put in the tiered difficulty settings.

No matter what I do to counter it (adjust the difficulty when I get promoted and such), it just seems cheap. If I select all-star, I want to play on All-Star at every level. Let the ratings of the players make the levels feel different.

I have owned all MLB: The Show games since 2008 and have almost exclusively played RTTS. I guess since today I played more than 100 Seasons with "The Dude" Jeffrey Lebowski. I have been MVP for several times and have won every single Player Award possible.

But today, July 10th 2018, on a sunny afternoon in St. Louis, Jeffrey Lebowski, member of the really dreadful Houston Astros, did something that he had never done before:

Just wanted to share my excitement before I go back to Houston

My player got injured 3 games into AA. I get back from the DL and I go from starter to bench. I pass the next set of Goals and I'm STILL riding the bench. Usually I'll be back into the lineup after passing the goals but this is new

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

Just finished my 3rd season in the majors (4th season overall) with Trey Griffey, my CF for the Rockies.

We went 98-64 in the regular season and won the NL West.

Trey hit .311/.344/.612 for a .956 OPS, with 46 homers and 119 RBI. He also joined the 40/40 club as he had 43 steals. He had 200 hits, 112 runs scored, 40 doubles, 8 triples. These stats were good enough to land him his first MVP award. He also won a Silver Slugger and a Gold Glove award.

In the playoffs we swept the Nationals in the NLDS, then beat the Reds 4-1 in the NLCS. We finished off our incredible run with a sweep of the Yankees in the World Series!

Trey Griffey, at age 21, has an MVP and a World Series ring. He's already hit 112 major league homers, what will he do next? At age 21 his dad had hit 60 homers.

In the offseason it was my first arbitration year, I asked for $12.5m and won my case, so I'm back at Coors Field again for another season. Was kind of expecting them to trade me to avoid paying me. They're paying CarGo $16.5m and Tulo $16.7m this season, we've got an expensive Big 3, but it proved to be worth it last year. Wouldn't be surprised to see them move me at the trade deadline though if we are hovering around .500.

I hope I get some good offers when I reach free agency, I'll be real disappointed if I get that free agency glitch where no teams offer me and I have to try out during spring training.

EDIT: Here he is receiving his NL MVP trophy from 2016
