Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
From the Dodgers to the Astors, both teams have no room for me as a SS in MLB or even AAA so I'm stuck in Double-AA. But I'm making the best of it and so far 3 games into the AA playoffs I'm batting .700!! With 3 HR and 7 RBIs!! 3 games! This is coming off a very nice, but nowhere near .700. About .348 BA with 13 HR and 90 RBIs.
My very first The Show game and I've already bumped up the difficulty to All-Star with zone batting. Not bad for a first time really!
And I love how clutch my guy seems to be. His clutch is only about 40, but I think I can remember one clutch fail.
I don't know if it's me because I am focusing like no other or what?
And what do you guys think I should use my 12,000 RTS points on?
I'm not in a beast mode for 99 OVR and I don't want to spend too many of my points because in MyCareer I did that and it just feels weird. I'm like 88 OVR but averaging 7 and 5 as a PG. I've only played 12 games and I've lost the drive to play.
What do you guys think?Comment

Determining rookie status:
A player shall be considered a rookie unless, during a previous season or seasons, he has (a) exceeded 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched in the Major Leagues; or (b) accumulated more than 45 days on the active roster of a Major League club or clubs during the period of 25-player limit (excluding time in the military service and time on the disabled list).Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
wow I hate the AI. I've simulated the 2013 off season numerous times and for some reason the braves always trade heyward straight up for someone 10 years older like ichiro. One time they traded medlen (99 rating) and heyward to the yanks for daniel hudson and ichiro wtf? Another time the nationals traded strasburg to the yanks for hudson and braves traded heyward to the yankees for ichiro. I really don't understand.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Decided half way through the 2018 season to sim until I hit free agency. My 99 overall starting pitcher didn't win the Cy Young that season with 250+ strikeouts and a 2.30 era due to the horrible Red Sox bullpen blowing every lead I had. I did the math, and their average ERA was 5.14 :|
I'm sorry, but I can't play on a team that does that. I get too frustrated. It also doesn't help the highest rated bullpen arm is a 71, while the rest are in the 60's and 50's :|Comment

Between first pitch meatball, number of 99 OVR rookies, Spring Training bug and trade logic I'm starting to wonder if I want to play anymore until a patch comes out. I'm having fun but its useless to go too far until issues are resolved.BOBTRAIN

I'm kind of agreeing with you, seeing as how I'm not getting offers in free agency :\Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I have been a MLB game fan from the very beginning. I buy the new version every year and will continue to do so as long as they continue to make it. I always play the RTTS part of the game. I mean I play this game a lot. I usually go 10 to 12 seasons with my RTTS guy and I play very game. But this year RTTS seems very different to me. I miss hearing the announcers making all the different comments. The gameplay is solid but it just doesn't seem like it's as much fun or as addictive as past versions. Maybe with a little more time with MLB 13 I'll change my mind. Anybody else feel the same as me?Comment
