I've got the preorder also.

Plan on using it to boost durability, as someone said above.

One quick question guys, is speed relative to position? I want to create a first baseman, but If for some reason I boost his speed to 99 would he be able to swipe 30 bases? Or would he just be a relatively quick fat guy?

Weight and height are mostly cosmetic (may help jumping for the ball if you're taller). If you had 99 speed, you will swipe a bunch.

I did the GS pre-order and this is was my plan. Not sure if I want to do speedy lead-off type CF or a strong-armed RF with some pop. Either way, I'm going to put most of my juice into speed, fielding, and throwing.

Exactly, I don't "Abuse" the extra points. I place them where you would expect to see a high draft pick w/talent. Look at Billy Hamilton from the Reds farm system. That dude had 95 speed the FIRST game he played! He didn't DEVELOP SPEED, he was BORN with it! Starting everything in the 30's isn't very "authentic"

How in bloody hell do I purchase and use the training points?! When I go to them in RTTS they are locked out to buy; everything has a lock on it in fact.

I tried this morning around 5:30am and all the training point and other upgrade things you could purchase was still down and locked not available. I am sure by the end of the day it will be up an running.

I think I read servers won't be up until 2 est. I could be wrong though.

I plan on using the 12,000 from
GameStop and probably buy 6,000 more.


So are the points on the receipt at GameStop, I'm picking up from there but just want the points and then I am returning.

It should be on your receipt, I didn't get any points cause of my early buy but I was prepared. In Jan I added $25.00 to my PSN account just to use for adding training points if I needed them.

Training points are the HGH of the Show. It would never happen, but I'd like to see a player get an 50 game suspension for using to many training points, say maybe 20,000.

lol, that'd be funny if it happened.

More realistic thing might be that a player gets suspended if they upgrade too much, too soon. EX-If before you even play a single game, you put 20,000 RTTS points on your player, you get suspended lol. So it forces people to even out their stats more(meaning play a game,upgrade abit, play another game, upgrade abit) and so on.

See, it's funny, my tests for the performance-enhancing points came out POSITIVE, but I got away with it since they didn't turn the samples in right away...oh wait, I'm not Braun.

I plan on using the points from my Gamestop preorder on my Center Fielder tonight since I couldn't last night.

I pre-order the game from GameStop as well. I really haven't played RTTS in past years but wanna give it a shot this time around.

I'm torn on whether I will start it right away or not because I may want to create my guy and use my training points once OSFM are up-and-running.
