Maybin is kinda busting and Luebke's been injured, whereas Gordon's a stud, so yeah, I'd think so.

Sorry about the long list haha.

It helped. I ended up taking the Gardner/Pineda trade you listed.

        Bleh, you helped the Yankees.

I figured Gardner's underrated, Grandy's in CF anyways, so why waste Gardner in LF? Plus, Pineda's well worth it in a Gordon deal for the Yanks.

And this deal works for you for obvious reasons lol. Gardner's a 5 win player with his speed/defense and Pineda's an easy #2 if he's healthy (huge if).

I love Gardner, but Pineda I was back and forth on. I took it so I could use gardner in CF. Now I'm gonna look to unload Lorenzo Cain. I'm not sure what for quite yet though.

A couple of trades for you to think about:

Cain to the Mets for Wuilmer Beccera

Dyson to the Mets for Domingo Tapia

I really like Tapia lol. Kid throws pure HEAT.

Mets are a perfect spot for those 2. I love those deals. Though obviously you would choose one.

Yeah, well at the end of the day, fairness/realism etc...as long as you are happy with your team is what counts. Gardner does look real nice atop the order there.

Your team looks a lot more like the current Astros than mine, lol. But then again you are 2 games in? I played a chunk of ST games in my 'chise and figured out who I could and couldn't use, hence the preseason deals for me.

Castro is my 2nd catcher, but I will deal him too...he can't hit himself out of a paper bag for me.

Also, had to deal Marwin Gonzalez as he's basically a failed former Cubs prospect who I watched all too closely when he was with the Cubs org. Dealt J.D. Martinez because he was one of the few decent chips I had. Ditto Matt Dominguez.

Lots of people wanting to start a 'chise with HOU this year, let's see how many of us actually see it through! Good luck with your 'chise and hope to see some updates in the Franchise Progress Thread.
                Thanks mate I appreciate that

I know in real life HOU wouldn't probably deal DeShields and Springer but I felt I needed the bullpen help. However I didn't play any ST (I usually play at least one game) this time so I should have waited to at least see what the existing relievers were like.

Gardner was great in my first game (12-6 loss to Texas) with 3 for 5 and a great catch out near the hill in Centre Field.

I may well post some updates, Houston is a great team to use as they make their debut in the AL with essentially a blank canvas to mould them into whatever you want them to be.

                Good luck with your franchise!

Trade options for Kottaras and Miguel Tejada? I want both off the roster.

I don't think you're gonna get anything for either.

Kottaras a low C maybe and Tejada probably nothing unless you like baseballs and big league chew

Both those guys to the Marlins for Placido Polanco?

I was able to trade Oscar Taveras from the Cards to the Orioles for Dylan Bundy, Manny Machado, and Pedro Strop. Could have gotten Chris Davis instead of Strop, but I had nowhere to play Davis unless I got rid of Freese. Obviously not realistic...but oh well.

I felt he was being priced a bit unfairly in the thread keeping the Rockies 'chiser from dealing for him, though the spreadsheet I think has it about right.

EDIT: Spreadsheet says mid C for Danks. high C max, imo.
What you fail to see is differences in perspectives. I personally do not value him much more than you guys do (he is more useful than a C imo). However, if you are taking realism into account, the Sox value to land him is more than we feel he is worth and probably any other GM for that matter. That is what I was referring to.

Another example is Derek Jeter. We might think oh, he's on decline blah blah not more than a C. Yeah, you try being Cashman and explaining why you gave up the face of the franchise who people still pay to see for some fringe no name to Yanksfan. IF someone on here wants true realism, I offer it up. IF they want to have fun their own way--I'm not keeping no 'chiser from doing anything.

I hope you understand what I mean. Danks isn't moving irl.
