Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
It seems like the Twins finally have some budget room to allow me to trade for 3B Trevor Plouffe. They really want to trade for 2B Rickie Weeks probably to replace Brian Dozier who has a low rating in this game. They have Miguel Sano so they would miss him. What else should I get in return from the Twins? Its not a fair trade straight up. Plouffe is worth two high C's and Weeks is worth two low B's.
Also while I am asking, I need to pick up a long term option in RF. Scott Podsednik was only a one year thing and none of my outfielder prospects are ready to come up to the majors. I would be willing to trade a couple 60's/ B potential prospects to solve this problem. Any suggestions?Last edited by YanksFan772; 04-30-2013, 01:23 AM.NFL: Packers

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
July 1st in my Astros 'chise. Miraculously I am within shouting distance of the 2nd Wild Card spot in the AL at 43-39.
Problem is my starting pitching, specifically spots 4 and 5 have been an absolute black hole. Harrell and Patrick Corbin (acquired preseason) have been solid as 1/2, and Phil Humber has actually been quite good as my #3. Bedard was so bad as #4 I had to waive him. Young P's Jordan Lyles, Alex White, and Jarred Cosart have not fared well either as #5. Brad Peacock, who was pitching well, was already traded to the Dodgers.
So, I have my eye on the Rays pitching, and since I don't have the assets for Price, I am looking at Hellickson. His Rays are currently 37-45 and well out of contention in the AL East. The Yankees and surging and the O's are right on their heels. And I am actually about to start a 4-game set with TB. So, plan is, if I battle them to 2-2 or take the series, I think it's safe to call TB sellers.
Hellickson is doing about what you might expect, something like 6-5 with a 3.70 ERA. He's listed as high B + high B + low B on the spreadsheet.
I am willing to deal away these major leaguers: SP Jordan Lyles (currently AAA), 1B Carlos Pena (.210 13 HR 43 RBI), C Jason Castro (.145 1 HR 14 RBI), SS Ronny Cedeno (.265 3 HR 10 RBI), RP Kyle McClellan (1.25 ERA, 28/29 SVO), RP Rhiner Cruz (6.40 ERA)
I am willing to deal away these prospects: 3B Rio Ruiz, OF George Springer, SS Jake Elmore, C Max Stassi, C Carlos Perez
Can you guys see a good fit from this pool of players for Hellickson?Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Guess Aceves is what's holding the deal back since he's the guy making the most money. How about Brentz/Swihart plus another prospect (high C)?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

It would have to be an inter division trade but what about Travis Snider for the RF spot? If the Pirates are out of it, I guess the Bucs would trade him if you send over a nice prospect. More speed and less pop but Jose Tabata?
Michael Taylor from the A's for Thornburg?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

As for the outfielder, this is probably doable, but are you the Brewers (I am guessing based on you having Weeks)? And who did you have in mind?Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Okay. Final draft (hopefully)
Deck, Matt Olson (1B 19 yr old C pot 50 ovr) and Grant Green (25 yr old 69 ovr) for Jimmy Rollins? And if thats an overpay, throw in a low C pitcher from the Phils?
I don't have many B's hahaComment

I'd love to get Michael Brantley from the Indians. He could probably take over the leadoff spot from Podsednik.NFL: Packers

Hmmm. I'm not sure there's a great fit for that. But Axford, Gamel, Taylor Green, Wily Peralta are some guys you could consider. Among prospects, Hellweg, Gennett, Morris, and Thornburg could be a part of that. Really depends on what you're willing to give up--and hopefully that fits the Indians needs (1B 'spect, 2B 'spect, SP 'spect are best fits there).Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
