Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks! No I'm actually doing a Phillies franchise. The problem was, I forgot my password and email associated with this account. But my friend made an account yesterday and he was the one who asked about Trumbo. I made that trade too and I realized how much I was missing out on here so I spent all last night trying to get my password until I got it haha.Comment

That's dedication man, good to have you back so that we can get some extra input on the Pennsylvania teams. How much would you devalue Halladay for what he's done so far in 2013?Thanks! Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Well throughout all of last season I was convinced he wasn't healthy, and just recently it was released that he needs surgery on his right shoulder. At this point it is unsure if he'll even come back...I'd say if he can come back this year and actually locate his fastball for the first time in forever, he MIGHT be worth a Low A in terms on The show, but most likely a high B or mid B I'd think. But realistically, I think the Phillies are going to have a tough time moving him at this pointComment

Well given how Amaro has expressed his support for him, I'm guessing they'll ride this one out. If it weren't for the DL stint, I'm sure he would have stayed a Phillie through 2013 anyway. Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah, I can't really see him being moved anymore. But regarding my franchise, I've been looking for a 3rd baseman since Michael Young isn't really cutting it. His defense has been pretty poor so far too. After I copied that Trumbo trade my friend did, I stuck him in right. But I'm still searching for a young 3rd baseman. Any ideas?Comment

What are you willing to part with to get that young 3B?Yeah, I can't really see him being moved anymore. Depends on who it is, but I'd be willing to let go some of the Phillies best prospects (who are pretty bad..) or maybe Cliff Lee if I have to. But if there's a contender who needs Rollins or Utley I'd be willing to do that, even if both of their values are pretty low.Last edited by bwoodring9; 05-12-2013, 01:06 PM.Comment

Mike Olt, Lonnie Chisenhall...both those guys are probably staying with their respective teams though.Depends on who it is, but I'd be willing to let go some of the Phillies best prospects (who are pretty bad..) or maybe Cliff Lee if I have to. Outside the box name I came to think of is Matt Gamel from the Brewers. He could use a change of scenery and play 3B/1B. He's not a particulary good defender though...I like Alex Liddi of the Mariners. Good power, ok with the glove, can play the corners like Gamel. He's Italian as well which I think is kind of cool
You planning a future with Asche at 3B later on? I'm thinking either Gamel or Liddi could be had for a pair of young arms. Maybe a combo of Rosenberg/HorstFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Jedd Gyorko, Matt Carpenter, Kaleb Cowart, Cheslor Cuthbert, Joey Gallo, all young 3Bs that come to mindMike Olt, Lonnie Chisenhall...both those guys are probably staying with their respective teams though.

Honestly, Asche isn't looking too great right now, so I'm not too excited over him. But I like the idea of Liddi, he could be a nice role player plug in for a while. I'd be willing to part with Rosenberg, but not Horst (He has a .79 ERA in the majors right now). I was looking at Corey Seager too, I just don't know if that would be a realistic option. Although If it is I'd much prefer him over Liddi. But realistically speaking, I think I should target Liddi. I'm just worried about how long it might take him to become MLB ready.Mike Olt, Lonnie Chisenhall...both those guys are probably staying with their respective teams though.

They could use an SS, a 2B, an SP, a CF, and maybe an RP. I know the Phillies have some players at those positions, anyone you're willing to give up from those positions?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I've kind of been testing it out in the trade screen, and I'd have to find a way to make the deal without giving them more money, because they can't take on more salary. But I'd part with maybe Galvis and Aumont.Comment
