I'd take a washed-up Utley over Gordon any day (as of right now).Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I can post some numbers if needed, but trust me I remember how great Utley was. I was at the game where he got a Grand Slam for his first major league hit. I love Utley more than most, but his stats have already gone down 2-4 points in contact, power, and fielding and I'm only in the last week of May.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
OK here's somewhat of maybe an unusual request, but I need help going back in time and adding a ptbnl (or 2) in a trade I did with the D'Backs earlier.
Here was the original trade:
HOU gets: OF Gerardo Parra (low B + low B), SP Patrick Corbin (not on sheet, but low B-ish at the time)
AZ gets: RP Wesley Wright (low C), 3B Matt Dominguez (high C), OF J.D. Martinez (mid B + mid B)
On paper it's pretty even with Martinez paying for Parra and then some, and Dominguez/Wright/extra value paying for Corbin.
However, the "problem" is Corbin is leading the AL Cy Young race for me (I underestimated how good he'd be) and he's also having a breakout year IRL (so I think his value should be higher). To compound this, Dominguez and Martinez aren't giving much to the D'Backs, so I feel that I cheated them.
So who could I add (in retrospect as a ptbnl) to make this a more even deal? Here are some options still on my squad I am willing to give up:
1B/3B Brett Wallace (low C)
SP Alex White (not on spreadsheet)
SS prospect Jonathan Villar (~mid-B)
RP Travis Blackley (low C)
RP Rhiner Cruz (not on spreadsheet)
RP Chuckie Fick (not on spreadsheet)
RP Jose Valdez (not on spreadsheet)
OF Brandon Barnes (not on spreadsheet)
Thanks in advance.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I'd say throw in Barnes if he is a high C/lowBComment

I'm playing as the Rangers and I'm wanting to make a big splash. I'm not looking for real but just fair. I've listed a few players if I could get what they may cost. I'm willing to move Profar, Ogando, Harrison, olt and any others in my minors. I would move belter if I have to but would want him to go to a contender

Saying that Jacoby Ellsbury has a good year until the deadline in my franchise, is it too much to ask for Leonys Martin and possibly another B prospect from the Rangers?"I'm just gonna go out there, and call the Yankees my daddy" - Pedro Martinez

Define good year? If it's a 2011 year for him then you could defitnitley get Olt and Martin for him. I'm very high on Ellsbury and think he's a top 5 CF when healthyComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
If you think you cheated them, you can't limit yourself to guys you're only willing to give up. Make it hurt. Throw in DeShields Jr. or someone."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Not sure if this is widely known but did any of you guys know there is a way to actually see the number for potential for guys instead of the the games letter scale. If you start a league and import the OSFM rosters you go to make trade and you can see the potential of every player its just listed as aptitude, I figured if you guys didn't know then maybe I should make a thread for it just informing people of this
Also realism question what would the Brewers give up to get Peter Bourjos? I was thinking Hiram Burgos + and would it be realistic? Angels are 1.5 out of the West and are the 1st wild card team as of nowLast edited by Shock1011; 05-21-2013, 03:18 PM.| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I will send OF Brandon Barnes, SS Jonathan Villar, SP Alex White, RP Rhiner Cruz to Arizona as many players tbnl.
DeShields isn't someone I'm willing to trade, but I think this is enough.
So the updated deal is:
J.D. Martinez, Matt Dominguez, Wesley Wright, Brandon Barnes, Jonathan Villar, Alex White, and Rhiner Cruz
for
Gerardo Parra and Patrick Corbin.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
