Im looking for an everyday SS and RF as well as some help in the pen since the only bright spots have been Brian Wilson, Paul Clemens and Jose Valdez as well as prospects.

Thanks and sorry for the long post.
Moore from WAS and Ryan and relief from SEA? Realistic but any interest on your part?

He's right about waiting but I'm gonna throw out some names:

Jesse Crain, Glen Perkins, Jose Veras, Steve Cishek, Luke Gregerson, Rex Brothers

After the season and playoffs are over I was planning on shipping him out to the Pirates. They need a RF bad and they also need a 1B since Sanchez is hitting below .200 and Jones is around .220. I have Ty Wigginton who I haven't used much but he would provide 1B/DH (NL DH as well) depth for PIT. Here are some stats:

      Rios (90 Overall, high B) - .281, 11 HR, 47 RBI, 33 R, 18 SB (138 games)
      Wigginton (74 overall, high C) - .235, 20 HR, 58 RBI (93 games AAA)

I like Russ Martin, Alex Presley, Jose Tabata, James McDonald, Jeff Locke as they major league players, but dont know much about the farm. Here are their stats:

      Martin - .251, 15 HR, 45 RBI, 47 R (95 games)
      Presley - .251, 6 HR, 22 RBI, 25 R (74 games)
      Tabata - .250, 1 RBI, 2R (only 11 games)
      McDonald - 2-5, 3.43 ERA, 1.40 WHIP (53 relief appearances ???
      Locke - 0-2, 3.55 ERA, 1.55 WHIP (7 starts MLB) 6-8 4.21 ERA 23 starts AAA

Now I would imagine Rios could get me maybe a couple C's or a B prospect and I would think maybe Tabata for Wigginton would be fair since they have both been on waivers many times this year. So the Wigginton for Tabata swap would even out but what would I get with Rios. I wouldn't mind taking Presley (who hasn't been great) over Tabata, and maybe giving less for the Rios part.

      Any brilliant ideas?
Rios for Presley and Locke should be fine IMO

So are you looking to unload to rebuild? You're probably not getting any everyday players from that bunch.

Bud Norris for Chris Colon? I think that's a good value for him. Jose Veras for a high C is okay for that. Bedard is probably at that value too.

Blackley, Pena and Ciriaco really have minimal value

Also, I am tired of WTNY thinking Coors is still the launching pad of the 90s. Check fg Guts! for park effects, it is still big but other parks are bigger and some of those guys can actually hit.
lololol, it's not just us, it's the scouts. Where are you getting your info?

Tyler Colvin 2013 HOME: .914 OPS (33 PA)
Tyler Colvin 2013 AWAY: hitless in 22 PA

Tyler Colvin 2012 HOME: 1.032 OPS (226 PA)
Tyler Colvin 2012 AWAY: .687 OPS (226 PA)

Tyler Colvin Career AWAY: .679 OPS, .270 BABIP (597 PA)

Tyler Colvin Career @ COORS: .982 OPS, .372 BABIP (277 PA)

You can be tired of me using ballpark effects if you want, but....it's not like it isn't true though. He's a scrub outside of Coors. P-E-R-I-O-D. And I'm thinking you guys didn't have to sit through his 2011 season (.150/.204/.306 in 222 PAs) or you'd know this already.

By the way, Coors has been in the top 3 in ballpark effects for most scoring every year since 2004. In 2012, Colvin's only full year there, the ballpark effect for Coors was 1st in baseball by a wide margin, and it wasn't only Rockies pitchers getting hammered.

Haha this is just something Rockies players and fans have to deal with. Coors Field has been middle of the pack as far as HR's go since the humidor came into effect. I can buy that averages, doubles, and triples can inflate there due to the large outfield gaps, but HR's.. not so much.

What I don't get is why a lot people punish Rockies hitters for Coors Field, but they don't think any different about the pitchers who have to pitch there.

As far as Tyler Colvin goes, I'm pretty sure the thing that turns WTNY off about him is his high strike out rate.. but he does mention the fact that he hits in Coors Field quite a bit.

SSS, his BABIP would probably regress if he had 600 PA at home too. It may not but it's too small a sample size to draw such a conclusion from.

Even if the BABIP was perfectly even, you can't even out a 300 point swing in OPS with it though....fact is he's a different player in Coors and on the road.

I smells me a debate coming on!

Colvin has a pathetic 15.2 LD% and a hilarious 34% K-rate and 5.5% BB-rate with a .239 (Arencibian) wOBA and and somehow has a 27 HR/FB but yet only 3 HRs, all good for a comedic wRC+ of 33. Colvin was a useful player last year and sucks this year, obviously the Rockies won that trade by default but not because Colvin is that great. I dunno if I buy that home/away split as he had a fairly impressive LD% last year and a sustainable HR/FB rate, he didn't really get all the lucky in general. Obviously a .364 BABIP won't be sustained but it's not as outrageous as it seems.

There, I just saved us like 20 pages of debating lol.

I still think Norris for Chris Colon would be a good trade. Take your pick on where to send Bedard or Veras. There are a few teams you listed that could be a fit for them
