Yeah we'll that's the thing with the Mets. They're top heavy with D'Arnaud, Harvey and Wheeler but besides that there's not much to brag about. They'd be better off developing what they've got, focus on the draft and go after cheap veterans that can contribute like Crisp.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

However, I'm going to up the price and get rid of the 'unrealistic.'"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So I'm trying to improve my bench by making a relatively minor trade. The move I have in mind is sending Juan Fransisco to the Rays for Ryan Roberts. I get a guy who has a lot if versatility (can play 3rd, 2nd and LF) and the Rays get a left handed power bat with some potential to back up Longoria or DH.
Fair move? Or does one side need to send a prospect or two to even it out?Comment

If Terdoslavich is a C rated prospect, then yes.
Is Terdoslavich a 3B though? The Braves are thin prospect wise at 3B and the Rays have Longoria long term so if Terdo is a 3B, I'd find someone else to even out the deal with.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Sorry I don't know how to quote on the iPhone app but I'm responding to AC Milan about the Tulo trade. Miller and Martinez are both A potential + Jenkins and Wacha are both B so are they interchangeable?NEW YORK GIANTS

From most of what I've read, for whatever that's worth."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Carlos Martinez gets a lot of Pedro Martinez comparisons and the only reason people give for him being a reliever is his height. Never heard that about Jenkins but he has had shoulder problems.NEW YORK GIANTS

Shoulder? Automatic no. Shoulder problems on young pitchers are a very, very, VERY bad thing."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Never said he was just that's the player he's been compared to. Has he given any reasons besides his height? He has 3 pitches and everything I've read has been that he has top of the rotation stuff. Started 15 games in AA Springfield last year and had a 2.90 ERA. Yeah you're right I don't think the Rockies would take the risk with Jenkins IRL.Last edited by big_tone91; 03-30-2013, 09:02 PM.NEW YORK GIANTS

Let's put it this way. We don't even need to have this debate with Miller, and that's why you'd have to give up Miller to get Tulo."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Right now but his changeup has flashed better than above average it's a pitch he's working on and is still at least average. He throws it quite a bit. If you're giving up Miller who is in the big league rotation you shouldn't have to give up 3 of your other top 10 prospects (1 or 2 who are in the top 5 depending on who you're going by) I just don't think it's realistic for the Cardinals to trade both Miller (in the rotation) and Wacha (just drafted) You're telling me they couldn't figure out a trade with the best farm in baseball one which is heavy in pitching prospects without giving up both of them?Last edited by big_tone91; 03-30-2013, 10:01 PM.NEW YORK GIANTS
