I'm the Jays and I acquired Aroldis. I'm thinking about flipping him at the dealine for Rondon and Castellanos. I still have Janssen so Rondon will just be a RP until he develops. So does this sound like a fair deal or do I need another low grade prospect?

Guess that's somewhat fair but why not keep Chapman and make him a starter? Do you have room on the major league roster for Castellanos?

Im the Jays and have their exact roster except I have Haren/Zimmerman instead of Lawrie/Romero....and I have Brain Wilson (Signed FA) and Jokiam Soria not Casey Janssen (trade w/ a prospect included)....now here is my situation.

Lind is my current DH, also have Delmon Young for lefties but this platoon isnt working. I want Beltran from the Cardinals could Lind/Young for Beltran/lesser Bat be fair or would we have to include more pieces...not looking for real just fair for both clubs

Guess it'd be pretty fair but the problem is how the Cards would put together a lineup. Dumping Beltran would mean Taveras plays RF everyday with Holliday in LF and Jay in CF. Craig is their 1B so Lind wouldn't have anywhere to play since there's no DH. Young would be a 4th OF and his hideous OF cant be hidden in a DH spot either.

In April in my Franchise and am looking to rebuild after this season. However, I really want to move Youkilis before the end of the season. Is this a good idea:

Tigers Get: K.Youkilis 3B(84/B age 33) and S.Heathcott CF(71/B age 22)

Yankees Get: N.Castellanos LF(74/A age 21)

Keep in mind I have Mason Williams in the minors for CF(70/A age 21).

very true ..i could keep young and give lind/prospect so they could use Lind as a pinch hitter/1B depth and get a prospect (dunno who I could give) plus they could get Tavaras into a full time OF spot and I get Beltran...Any idea of who I could add to Lind?

Lind and Thole would add some depth to the Cards if they're contenders. Sure Yadi catches pretty much almost every game but never hurts to have a dependable backup/pinch hitter

Maybe in July if the Tigers are contending and Youkilis is raking triple crown numbers...but I'm having a hard to seeing a trade like this in April.

On a side note, my guess is that Castellanos will only be dealt in a package for a star player (like Stanton). Youkilis is not worth anything these days

I was thinking Lind/Thole/pitching prospect ? that would be fair?

No, I would have Catellanos in the minors for a little while, but I might possibly call him up later in the season to platoon left and DH some games. And I have a solid 5 man rotation, because Romero is actually okay in the game. I might consider trading Romero in the deal instead if possible. Would you consider Romero, another B prospect for Rondon and Castellanos a fair deal?

Absolutely not a fair deal. Castellanos is virtually untouchable and that is a lowball offer anyway. Romero's not even good enough to be on the MLB roster right now...Both Castellanos and Rondon are top 100 prospects. You can't get rid of guys you don't care for to get the other team's top prospects--well you can, but not sure why you'd look for this thread's blessing on something like that. It would take a lot more just to be at all fair (not even considering it's not realistic at all, but you already have Chapman so I'm guessing that's not a concern).

Hmmm, back-up catcher who's main function is to catch R.A. Dickey, and a pinch hitter in exchange for a 30 HR starting outfielder? Even with Taveras (who is not in the stock 2K rosters) I'd say you'd need to add Rasmus at the very least, so:

Rasmus + Thole/Lind (Cards wouldn't waste roster spots on both Lind and Thole) + 5-star potential prospect might do it.

I gave up six prospects for Chapman... It wasn't an unrealistic trade. How does Chapman and a B prospect for Rondon and Castellanos sound.
