I am at 43% are you positive this is what I need to do? I would hate to do this and then be back to 0% and not have done the right thing.

You must of done something wrong... I downloaded all 3 files then installed them and I was playing after 2 hours...a lot of ppl said after 2 hours they were playing as well.

Im not trying to be an *** I just don't think it was Sony fault as a lot of ppl got the game fine

If you aren't sure of what file you installed already I'd keep redownloading both then and start from scratch to be 100% sure.

If you are downloading the main game and additional content files right now I'd just keep doing that then.

Once you get both, start from scratch and install both.

That is the safe way to go about this, start from scratch with your two new files you are downloading.

Ok, what I did was go to the "dashboard" and went to downloads and saw that it was download MLB 13 The Show Additional Content, Main Game, and Online Pass. The main game was at 5% and the additional content was at 45%. So, you were right! I just canceled the main game download and am hoping that after the additional content is done I will be on my way. Thanks for the help man.

ahh man...i was downloading something right now that's 11gb, i am at 80% complete. there another one that is similar size? i was getting pretty excited since it is almost done...i might as well goto bed then.

do i have to download the main game file to install this one? did i do it backwards, so now do i have to download main one and then this one again?

i don't get why they didn't just make it into 1 file you download and install. this is pretty confusing. i will be pretty pissed if it makes me download the additional content again after i download the main one.


ps: this is first time i ever done this digital download. can someone please tell me where these two files are being saved in my ps3. how to i access it once they are done downloading? i ask this cuz i am currently downloading the additional content one and don't want to install it till i download and install the main one.

It was my first time do doing a pre order thru psn.

It's a bit confusing because they give you main game, additional content and online pass.. I downloaded them all then installed them fine and played but when I looked at the files after download main game has now turned into 20+ gb and the additional content shrunk to 4mb

I'm not complaining because it all worked out for me I just don't understand if they shrunk the additional from 11 gb to 4mb why not just one file

When you download them they go to the part to select a game like with demos . They just sit there waiting for you to install them

i'm pretty sure they split it into 2 pieces to download separately so people who have limited hard drive space won't be crippled.

if the file = 22gb, then you would briefly need 44gb of disc space while the game installed. and back to 22gb once install was done.

but, if the files = 2 files at approx 11-12gb, and they install one-at-a-time, then you would only need about 33gb of temporary space, and once again, back to 22gb once both files were done.

it does not matter in which order you download/install the files btw.

Exactly, it was said a bunch in the preorder thread as well.

Splitting into pieces is much better overall for the consumer, that is if Sony would make it clear what the consumer needs to do to install the game when there are two files as that is a bit weird to see when most PSN games are one file.

Looks like i'll be putting the game in during my lunch break so i won't have to wait forever. By the time i get home, put the kid to sleep, the game should be ready to go for me tonight as long as there's no problems lol.

I selected "Download All" at 1 am. Woke up and did the install in about 10 mins. Love it so far.
