Lack of player pictures!

Anyone else notice the lack of player pictures? For the Jays players like JA Happ, Drabek, Gose, Thole, Cooper, McCoy and Sierra don't have their pictures in the game. Its not a huge deal but kinda annoying. Many of those players were regulars last year.

Just quickly going through the rosters these are others without them,

Apparently if the game has you starting in AAA or below you don't get a picture, no matter who you are! Now that I realize how extensive it is, it's quite annoying!

EDIT: I think it has something to do with the online roster

This isn't an issue. It's been discussed many times on the forums over the past few months as to why player portraits change.

Maybe I missed it, but when comparing the default roster to the online update many of the said players are in the default roster. It seems with Houston they just added on a CG hat or something, or why cant they just do something like the MLB hats?

I do kinda think the old way was better. I think I'd prefer real pictures with the wrong team's hat rather than generic CGI images.

move them to the MLB on their respective teams...I do agree the old way was better. All these people have pictures in the game FYI

once u place many of those players back to the mlb level their photos appear. like for arod and granderson, pineda..
only a few players on that list are actually missing

Some player actually have multiple potraits. For instance if you put Reyes back on the Marlins or R.A. Dickey on the Mets, they will have the potraits that were used in last years game which is preaty cool.

This is the case for EVERY roster on anyone's game, not just the online roster. The players change their cyberfaces once traded to other teams, albeit the cyberface qualities can be a little blurry(I'm on Vita version), but I like this feature overall. As for the Jays players you listed, if you promote them to MLB level, you'll actually find that most of them will then switch to a real portrait, and this is the case for most minor leaguers on every roster that made an appearance in the big leagues last year.

I still dont get why they cant just do what they do on local sports TV stations and use an old picture and just crop the new cap over the old one. It really shouldnt be that diffficult. And even if they had to just take every player and put every hat on them, it wouldnt take up that much space. Its on a bluray, They must have tons of disc space left to do that.

downloaded the Online Roster update. I was aware that once a player changes team in Franchise/Season, they'll player picture will be a generated cyber face.. but I also understood that they'll be real-life pictures with new caps once roster update came around? it's the same way with the roster update. Michael Bourn and others in new team are also generated. Really wish they kept it the old way...

I wouldn't mind the cyber faces (in fact I actually prefer them over the MLB hats) if only MLB 13 had a higher emphasis on stats, specifically year by year statistics in the player card.

If only the player card had the teams the player was on year-by-year, I would welcome the new feature with open arms. If a player is traded or switches teams a few times in franchise, eventually you will just lose track. But maybe that's just me....

I really don't like the cyber faces either. If there's no way to change just the hats of the players, then I'd prefer it the old way. Takes away from some of the realism.

Love the cyberfaces for franchise mode. Really adds to the immersion. In the past it had halted my enthusiasm to go deep in my franchises due to having a bunch of players with the wrong team in their picture.
