    Re: Best hitting camera?

Go with a custom camera. I chose one of the catcher cams (the one that has the pitcher's head at the top of the strike zone) and zoomed out a few notches so I could see the entire batter. I feel like I can really read the pitches being below the pitcher's release point and the zoomed-out aspect helps me judge speed and break as well.

I run with this custom camera setting as well...it provides (IMO) a great perspective on pitcher/batter match-ups & I also can pick up pitches better.

Thank to whomever figured this one out.

I'm on Catcher 4 now but I'm waiting for a great offset camera.

As someone mentioned, only offset really makes the handedness match-up relevant.

              Time to bump this.

Anyone have a great custom camera yet? Something using an offset view?

Here are the 3 custom cams I've created. I tried GMO's (his is attachment #2) and had some success but it's just too hard to properly judge balls and strikes because home plate is out of view so I decided to create some myself. Not sure if any of these would be helpful to anyone but I figured I'd share just in case. I prefer attachment #1 myself but like #4 as well. I pitch from #3, I know some have said they hit from broadcast view but I find it too difficult. I love pitching from this view however.

I am using the G'MO from '12, I followed the same exact instructions as he had for last years version, and still lines up perfect. I can actually pick up change-ups and other off speed stuff great with his set up. This is the best I have ever been hitting in The Show.
