Stats have to go into the progression. Coupled with age is why players will decline. Guys who are testing... Give us stats of the players with their declines

Alright, I updated the spreadsheet with my results from my second test. There doesn't seem to be a direct correlation between performance and regression imo.

Edit: The tab entitled "Test 2" is the one you should be looking at. Also - It seems like the SO's are wayyyyy too low for Pitchers.

Has anyone tried to just skip spring training to see if they regress at all?

I'm half tempted to just pitch with Halladay during the spring or just skip it making sure he has awesome games and see what happens.

Also, maybe when guys get older its better to train on things like plate discipline instead of liken power or something?

Just wanted to write this stuff down before I forgot it.

That's a full season? Strikeout #'s for SP's look awful!!!
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust 'em.

Yup, that's a full season. A little concerning I'd say. I just noticed there is a thread dedicated to this so I'm sure it has been reported as a bug.

I just started playing NHL so I can't look right now. But from every other player I've seen, it's a straight drop across all categories.

Have you tried reading the thread? haha. Pretty sure at least 3 people have said that skipping spring training gets you to the start of the season without the regression happening.

It happened to me too. R.A Dickey dropped to a 71 to 68 by seasons end. Then I noticed guys like Jeter, Tim Hudson, Doc Halladay etc all dropped from 90's down to 60-70's by year end. I just did a quick season sim, and I've started a franchise over 3 times now to see if there's a change, but still looks the same problem.

Thanks for the heads-up. I just went out to the The Show's Bug Report site and voted for Player Progression and Franchise K rates. Both were pretty high up on the list. The stuttering issue was #1 and the status showed as being "In Progress" so it looks like they are paying attention to what is being reported and are trying to fix, or scale back as it relates to the ratings decline.
