    Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread

So I decided to go with the brew crew and I got the 11th pick

First pick I had to bring the Prince (97) back.

Second pick was a tough decision between Starlin Castro(90) and Yoenis Cespedes(93) but I went with Castro due to outfield depth.

Next I needed a pitcher so round three I got Gio Gonzo(90)

    Round 4 I went with Nick Markakis(89)

In round 5 I was able to get Matt Harvey(87)

    Round 6 I got Danny Espinosa(84)

Strengthened my outfield with Desmond Jennings(84) in the 7th round

I know the computer takes a reliever in the 9th, so in the 8th I took Ryan Cook(91) to get the best available.

Then I took Sean Doolittle(88) in round 9 to be my lefty specialist

    And in round 10 I took J.P. Arencibia(81)

    Round 11- Jhoulys Chacin(82)
    Round 12- Chris Heisey (74)
    Round 13- Alberto Callaspo(73)
    Round 14- Carlos Villanueva(81)
    Round 15- Jason Vargas(81)
    Round 16- Joba Chamberlain(80)
    Round 17- Jim Henderson(79)
    Round 18- Dan Straily(78)
    Round 19- Brennan Boesch(73)
    Round 20- Ben Francisco(72)
    Round 21- Wily Peralta(77)
    Round 22- Jordany Valdespin(72)
    Round 23- Phil Coke(77)
    Round 24- Alfredo Simon(72)
    Round 25- Mike Carp(68)
    Round 26- Humberto Quintero(71)
    Round 27- Casey Kelly(73)

I know I took some guys way too early but I'm still happy with my team.

    What do you guys think??

      Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread

Ive tried the default roster, the online roster, and a saved roster from the vault...my screen keeps going blank when the draft hits the second round. Im controlling one team with everything else default.

So it must not be the settings that is causing this problem. Did you guys buy your game early or did you buy the game after it was released? I bought mine last Saturday at a mom and pop store in china town in nyc. Is it possible that my game is defected, but Im not the only person having this blank draft screen....I dont know if we all bought our game early or not.

        Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread

I think I picked 2nd. I really like my fantasy draft team this year.

        C: Russell Martin 85
        1B: Anthony Rizzo 79
        2B: Robinson Cano 99
        SS: Brandon Crawford 82

Bench: Derek Jeter 72, (I try to start him frequently even though he is a 72), Kirk Nieuwenhuis 71 (Round 34), Brandon Belt 78 (Round 19), and Jerry Hairston Jr. 66

SU: Drew Storen 93 (Round 5) and Addison Reed 84 (Round 13)
CP: Mariano Rivera 81 (Addison Reed will take over after Mariano retires after this year and then Robertson can move back to a setup role...I could not let Mariano not retire as a Yankee in any franchise haha)

This was my question after being appalled at how pretty much every one who has posted here was able to draft him. It seems almost impossible to me that, if a fantasy draft were held in real life, you'd be able to get both Harper and Trout. I feel like, even with such a dearth of talent across MLB, both guys would be gone within the first 20 or so picks.

Of course, it's not that surprising. I've yet to see a video game -- be it baseball or another sport -- value prospects in a way that seems 100% correct.

Here is a draft I did to hold me over until rosters are done. Picked some older players as I won't play with them that often usually.

              Pick 17
              C AJ Pierzynski
              1B Adam Dunn
              2B Jemile Weeks
              3B Alex Rodriguez
              SS Starlin Castro
              LF Bryce Harper
              CF Andrew McCutchen
              RF Ichiro
              SP RA Dickey
              SP Chris Carpenter
              SP Tim Hudson
              SP Hiroki Kuroda
              SP Andy Pettitte

              SU Joe Nathan

I haven't seen anyone have Chapman on any of their teams. What round is he going in?

Saw a team with Verlander and Chapman...he's a low 90's rated guy, so my guess is early second round.

Yeah I was going to say, in the roster I'm using he's a 99 or 97 or something like that.

Default rosters Chapman is a 99, apparently he's a 92 in the roster update they put out...as that's the roster I used.

As a 99, he would be going top 10...as he's one of like five 99 rated SP's, and they all go early. As a 92, he went in the 2nd round in the last draft I did...otherwise the CPU team wouldn't have ended up with both Verlander and him.

As a 99 he went first overall in my one draft. Before Trout and Verlander, I was blown away

so a friend n i love doing fantasy drafts. first started out doing 2 teamas each. one AL one NL, but was too hard to deal with the off season n sh1t. Anyone have some tips for us with the off season after a fantasy draft or some draft tips.

The first one we did i had jeter a rod and ichiro as they stay around in the draft forever, but as i came to find out for some reason they become awful after a year.

Any tip or some help would be greatly appreciated!
